Fantastic sound experience
Still playing around with the set up, as my room is non standard. At the moment the quility of sound when used on Blue ray or Sony's own website is fantastic. They also give you 10 free films to try too.

My ultimate solution for home theater
My ultimate solution for home theater. I know how great a home theater can be with a real set of Atmos speakers installed with a nice receiver. However, this A9M2, along with the SW5 subwoofer and A95L as the extra central channel, is a big surprise for my 300 sq ft movie room; it performs very close to my traditional home theater, but with way less wiring hassle, and it looks better, making the room much more neater as well. No regret at all.

Truly cinematic sound experience at home
The BRAVIA Theatre Quad completely transformed my living room into a cinema. The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping is unbelievable, it really feels like sound is coming from every direction, even behind you. Pairing it with my BRAVIA TV was effortless, and Dolby Atmos brings movies and music to life with incredible clarity and depth. Not Bluetooth connect through your Internet sucks
They go through the Internet for connection so if you have crappy Internet connection, they’re no good would never buy them again. The best are wired in systems.

To improve the connection stability, please try going into the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app under Settings - Wireless Speaker Connection Settings and select the "Priority on Stable Connection" option. This setting is often very effective at minimizing dropouts in environments with heavy Wi-Fi traffic. Come on... You can't even find a decent dedicated center channel in this Quad/Soundbar to deliver accurate, crystal-clear dialogue/vocals – and like, 80% of movies and shows are all about dialogue, right? So shouldn't it be like, a basic requirement for any Soundbar or Quad to have a dedicated center channel/speaker? But nope 🙄, instead these things come with PHANTOM ("pseudo speakers"). Do we really need to "enjoy" this artificial, pseudo audio/sound/dialogue from PHANTOMS 🤪 – all illusion 😅, hypnotic 😂😂, black magic... 🤣🤣🤣

The HT-A9M2 system allows for only one subwoofer connection at a time, whether it is the SA-SW3 or the SA-SW5 model. Just what I was looking for.
Bought and returned the Sonos Arc Ultra because it lack the surround sound feel without buying a load more speakers. How could I resist this at that price! Brilliant! The only thing missing is voice control on the unit, without connecting via Bluetooth.

Can't Update Software and Can't Optomize
I tried multiple times to do the software update. It is so slow (only up to 1% in half hour) that I canceled it. I am updating over the same WiFi Network that streams the video stream to my TV so, I don't think the network is the problem. I tried multiple times to run "Optimize". I always returns: could not determine distance to speakers. Since my rear speakers are wall mounted beside some cabinets, my furniture configuration could be the problem. However, I would expect a distance determining utility would be able to accomidate that.

We would recommend trying to perform some troubleshooting steps that might come useful: - Try using a different device to install the app and install the software update. - Try using a different network, or mobile data to complete the installation. - Perform a reset on the Home Theater control box: Press and hold (power) on the control box for more than 10 seconds. - Perform a reset on the speakers: Press and hold LINK on the bottom of the speaker for more than 10 seconds. The power indicator on the speaker flashes slowly in red and the reset starts. The power indicator on the speaker flashes in green and amber alternately when the reset is completed. After the reset is completed, disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) for the speaker from the AC outlet (mains), then reconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) for the speaker after the power indicator on the speaker turns off. Impressive sound immersion
I bought this system a few months ago and have been very happy with the sound immersion I get from it. The setup was really easy, especially if you have a Sony TV. The HDMI input has been very useful if you have an old TV without eARC. I do feel that dialogue clarity can be improved when not using voice mode. Dialogues were much more clear in my previous Sonos soundbar. I am not using center sync. One feature request I have is to add Tidal Connect support to the device for spatial audio (Dolby Atmos) music streaming. While Apple Airplay is great, not everyone has an iPhone. At least this system supports the LDAC protocol for Bluetooth, so Bluetooth is not that bad, but it won't support Dolby Atmos. For high quality and spatial music, Tidal Connect would be ideal. Another enhancement could be to output more information on the audio received. For example, "Dolby Atmos" does not currently say whether it is TrueHD or EAC-3. DTS does however say whether it is HD or not. Likewise, Bluetooth, Airplay, etc. also don't say much on the bitrate, etc. of the signal being received.

Best surround sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers are just phenomenal, the surround sound performance is out of this world. It immerses you into your media and the app allows to extract more audio from any source, even Netflix, HBO, etc. I was able to easily connect the system together and manage it all on the app. The Bluetooth connection and Spotify works well. The clarity in the sound is amazing.

Awesome surround sound speakers with great audio quality
