Great lens, but definitely expensive
Sony 70-200mm f2.8 gm-ii is definitely wonderful lens. I jabe covered two events and amazed by it’s output. I can ise the jpeg straight from the camera. Excellent quality. Cons- very expensive lens. Prpbably in future i will rethink again n again if i will go for sony or some third party lens to be honest. I am a big fan of sony, but budget matters!

Awesome Lens!
I could have dished out the extra money to get the GM II, but I didn't feel it was necessary. This lens was great when I took it to the zoo on a family outing. I'm not the best photographer around (still learning), but this lens definitely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this lens to anyone wanting a 70-200 zoom, especially paired with the 2x teleconverter.

Lightweight versatile lens
This is my number one go to lens. I have used it for many years and it keeps on giving me the quality images for my needs. I like that it is small an compact and has a good Bokeh on images. Color is correct and there is little I need to do in Lightroom afterwards.

Received it used it for a few shots. Great lens specs except for the weight. Nice pics but the weight of it is over 4lbs! Hard sell even at the cheaper price and nice picture results, the weight makes this V1 lens hard to travel witth. If you are on a budget and don’t mind the weight, this lens is good. I decided to go for the V2 since I plan to use this on multiple occasions and travel with it a lot.

Fantastic lense of it's era
This lense I will easily say is a 5star lense of it's era. But if I were to say if it came out now in the same way, you can see it's aging. The quality and use of this lense is truly magnificent but it has 2 main quirks that have been addressed in the new model 2 that came out. #1 weight. This lense is heavy. You can use it as a Tonfa and beat your intruder with it. #2 speed. It is fast but after the 135gm came out the old motors just aren't the same. Aside from that it's an amazing lense that can get you results but if you are going to get a Sony a1 for 30fps this lense can't keep up with those frames.

Purchased this super lens from ffords in Scotland to try out against my F4 version, well the results are outstanding, yes its big and heavy but that's not a problem for me and i'm no spring chicken! Sold the F4. I would highly recommend this lens if you shoot action in dull lighting.

Poor protection registration process
I bought 70-200mm GM OSS II but during the product protection registration it did not allow me to register this product. Rather only as an older model

Beautiful lens for sports content.
I bought this lens a few weeks ago to replace my f/4 70-200 and there's just so much to say about this lens. Probably the best piece of glass I've ever used. Its autofocus capabilities are insanely sharp especially when shooting video. I'm a sports photographer and videographer, so shooting fast-moving subjects is an essential part of my job. The autofocus is super quick, especially in low light. Don't even get me started on the bokeh!! it's extravagant. 10/10 lens for sure. The only reason that it isn't a perfect lens is its weight. It's low-key really heavy. paired with my α7III with the battery grip it's about 4-5lbs.

I bought this lens for sport and the very next day took it to a horse show. So glad I did. It hardly missed a shot and when it did it was operator error.
