Soldier Nutcracker Christmas - Threshold™

This is a beautiful nutcracker. Our 17th, it is the tallest and heaviest, seems to be made of a lovely wood, the face is actually unpainted to let the grain show. He is wearing a crown, maybe Captain of the guard? Staff firmly attached, he arrives in a separate box in fantastic condition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a holiday nutcracker and I was pleased that this one actually had the features of a nutcracker with the mouth that opens and shuts. The pole that he is holding is very delicate and almost too fragile for my household with small children. My kids like to look at this Christmas decoration and use the handle to open and close the mouth. The price is fair for the quality.

He’s perfect! He’s taller than I expected (I didn’t read the dimensions), and has a nice weight too, so he shouldn’t topple over easily. He’s been the best priced nutcracker I’ve come across so far. I took away one star because he was packaged poorly & his right hand & staff had come off.

The qualities is great and it feels sturdy and well-made. My only issue was with shipping – a small piece on the hat broke off in transit. I was able to push it back on temporarily and other than that I love it and it fits perfectly with my Christmas decor! I will be exchanging it for one that did not come broken.

It has a round wooden plate that it balances on. It also has a mechanism on the back that moves up and down to move the mouth. The painting detail is beautiful And the colors are bold and vibrant. Even the faux hair looks striking on this piece. This will definitely add some height in your Christmas display.

My kids get a kick out of these. We have a large collection and this one fits right in. The quality is pretty good for the price, and the height being over 12 inches tall makes this a nice sized nutcracker without a huge price tag. The base is even and sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this holiday Nutcracker online for my home. This wooden Nutcracker soldier figurine is about 18 inches high. The back has a lever that lifts up and down to open his mouth in order to crack nuts. I wouldn't necessarily use this for actually cracking any nuts. I don't think it's sturdy enough. In fact, when the Nutcracker arrived it was already broken. Its arm, that holds a wooden staff was broken off completely. Such poor quality for an item that would have been really cute to go with the rest of my Nutcracker collection. The price wasn't too high compared to what an actual nice Nutcracker sells for, but the quality was so bad that it should have been even less.
