About the Author

Rusty Marcum is a writer of science fiction, fantasy, and supernatural thrillers. His award-winning script Jasper earned top honors at the Tucson Horror Fest, and his short fiction is featured in the Splinter Press anthology Earth(ish): Tales from the Splinterverse. An avid Dungeons & Dragons player, Marcum finds inspiration in collaborative storytelling and life in the deserts of Arizona. He once went viral on Twitter after sharing the story of a Batman costume his grandmother crocheted, a testament to his love of quirky, heartfelt tales.

Johanna Taylor (she/her) is an American freelance illustrator and concept artist with a BFA in Animation, and the creator of the young adult graphic novel The Ghostkeeper (Penguin Putnam, 2024). She is an avid player of tabletop RPGs and enjoys creating stories with folkloric themes, mental health narratives, dark comedies, historical fantasies, magical realism, and D&D-style adventures. Johanna is a member of the Cartoonist Cooperative, and her comics and illustrations have been published by Oni Lion Forge, 2CGaming, Very Big Comics, Iron Circus Comics, Penguin Random House, and MIT Press.

Letterer Jodie Troutman has lettered all kinds of comics for all kinds of people, including DC, IDW, Boom, and Scholastic. She's also spent over twenty years writing and drawing her own comics, notably Lit Brick and The Gospel of Carol. Jodie currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, where she'll probably die in a desert and/or golf course.
