simplehuman 40L Slim Plastic Step Trash Can

While the shape and locking mechanism on the trash can are helpful it did not last long. The plastic mechanisms on the lid broke and is constantly popping off. Did not last as long as expected for a simplehuman trash can. Would not buy again

We currently have a simple human stainless steel trashcan that we love. When I saw this one, I like the color so much better than stainless and was excited about the price point. A few things about the can itself it’s very lightweight so when you put pressure on the step to lift the lid the entire trashcan tips forward. There isn’t a Insert that holds the trash like our other simple human. And in general, it’s just poor quality that being said if I was looking for a trashcan and wasn’t accustomed to the quality of simple human, I would be fine with it overall, I would skip this.

Have had this trash can and it’s been a nuisance. Lid constantly pops off and as your repop it back on continuously, damaged the insertion and now I’ve got a useless overpriced trash can.

The lid pops off all the time. It got to the point where I can’t even put it back on. If you’re looking for something to last more than a year, this isn’t it.

This is supposed to be a great brand, but this particular one is not great, the lid pops off after fastening immediately

The lid pops off easy and ended up broken within a month of use. I do not recommend this one since the lid broke so fast.

It’s light and durable! So perfect for my little house! Great quality! I love it!

I love this trash can! Our grand dog can get into anything EXCEPT this. It's a good size (30 gallon), slim design, and soft close lid. I also appreciate the fact that the can can be left unlocked for everyday use.

The lid broke off within a couple of days. Not sturdy enough to roll smoothly from bedroom to laundry room just a few feet away. If not completely balanced laundry, it tips badly. Very disappointed! I'm disabled with little arm strength & thought the wheels would be so helpful, but unfortunately that's not the case, at least not for me.

I like the streamlined shape and size of this waste container. It holds a lot, but doesn’t look enormous.

The size is perfect. This is a great trashcan if you have a narrow space and is hidden out of the way.

First pair lasted over 10 years, looked a bit tired and a damping piston mounting got broken. So good we bought some more. Great size and easy to clean. Well worth the money. Very highly recommended from us.

I like the look, but the lid continually falls off. I'd like my money back. I've only had it about 3 months. Simple Human is expensive and expected better.

The lid keeps coming off from the hinge. It’s like the metal piece for the lid opener pedal is to short. Comes apart multiple times a week

Cleverly designed for small spaces. I'm really loving the slide lock lid in-between emptying to trap smells. Works great with the orb deodorisers.

fits the space i wanted perfect love how the liners are perfect fit as well , easy to empty with having wheels, i love my odourpods too

The bin was faulty. Very poor quality. I returned it but am still waiting for my full refund
