Mostly good but with some issues
Great 2D panel, 3D very impressive when it works. The included software is often buggy, 2D-3D conversion only works at the mercy of Nvidia's drivers(it does not work at all as of December 2025) and 3D in general only works on the current release build of windows, insider previews will break that functionality. So it is not a seamless experience. Annoyingly, auto source switch does not seem to work at all, so if you use the monitor with multiple devices, you're gonna get real familiar with the back of the monitor joystick. All in all, worth it on sale if you're technically inclined.

It works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The glasses free 3D works well. At the end of they day, that is what counts. The monitor is a solid monitor without 3D. That said, you are here for 3D and this monitor delivers.

A novel and mind-bending experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is rare to find a large tech company make something so niche and exciting. I had heard reviews of the Odyssey 3D and was obsessively looking for more to determine whether or not I would end up purchasing one for myself, but in the end very few came. So, I decided in the end to just purchase the display and decide for myself. Typical display features: This display has all the typical external features you'd expect from a modern gaming monitor. The build quality is nice, it has a high 165Hz refresh rate, 4K resolution, 27" inch size which is a happy medium for both esports and cinematic gaming, and as many HDMI and DisplayPort ports you'd require to plug this into a modern GPU. The build quality is nice too, it is made of plastic but it is manufactured in a quality feeling way, with a nice finish on it. How it stacks up against modern displays in 2D: This area I think the monitor is weaker in. I am moving to this monitor coming from multiple different OLED monitors and TVs, and the display quality here on this IPS display is clearly not as high-end. The contrast is not even in the same league. Colors on the other hand are vibrant and bright, which was nice to see. Samsung always does great with their colors, so I expected no less. Motion clarity is perfectly serviceable--I tested this using Valorant and didn't notice an appreciable difference between this monitor and my 240Hz OLED. Obviously on paper the OLED is likely much better, but the difference was not noticeable enough to bother me in-game, and did not hurt my performance at all. What makes this monitor a 5-star product: When stacked up against OLEDs and VA Mini-LED monitors, this monitor only provides a competent gaming experience in 2D. It's not groundbreaking, and for the full price tag 2D gaming would not be worth it. But, this monitor's killer feature, the glasses-free 3D effect, makes it a product you can hardly get anywhere else. And in that sense, it is top of its class. 3D pops beautifully and brings games and movies to life in such an amazing way. If you have not experienced 3D before, this is an amazing time to dip your toes in. Some modifications may be required if you're someone who wants to play more games and watch more movies, but the modifications are fully worth it. Anything negative about this monitor is made up for in its uniquely compelling killer feature, and I will definitely be keeping this monitor and talking about it to everyone who will listen.

The future is here
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D depth and quality is unmatched by anything else on the market. This is truly a "next generation" technology. Despite not being an OLED, the panel quality is very high. Great color accuracy. One of the few monitors to still feature a glossy finish. The screen size and resolution also leads to great PPI.

Samsung 3d MOnitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the monitor so far it was what I was hoping for in a glasses free experience. It isn't something I would drop a star for but I just wish it had a way to toggle into the 3d instead of relying on the software side. That being said it is performing as intended and have had it for a week now and appreciate the performance of it. I have not had any technical issues with it yet. The color and picture of the monitor are also very good. The Monitor was also very simple and quick to setup.

3d effect is really cool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really enjoying the Samsung 3D Odyssey—its 3D effects are incredibly immersive and make everything feel more lifelike. Whether I’m watching movies or exploring games, the depth and clarity add a whole new level of excitement. The way objects seem to extend beyond the screen makes the experience feel more dynamic and engaging. Overall, the 3D feature is what truly sets the Odyssey apart for me.

Great 3D Effect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great monitor with good connectivity 1 display port and 2x HDMI. The 4k display looks great especially when gaming in 3D. The refresh rate is 165hz which is decent but can be better. The monitor is 27 inches which is decent, if Samsung does do a revision of this monitor, they should offer the monitor in 34 in variant. Regardless the monitor is one of a kind, not that many 3D monitors available. The 3D works great with the supported games. Non-supported games will take a few modifications to get them to work, will work great after.

Impressive 3D
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D effect is indeed as impressive as reported. The pop-out and depth perception in Stellar Blade are exceptional. I experienced minimal ghosting, primarily during cutscenes. While the monitor indicates a 165 fps refresh rate, during 3D operation, it consistently maintained 60 fps. I am uncertain if the 4K resolution is active during 3D viewing, but the visual clarity is remarkably sharp. Connection via the DisplayPort cable was perfect.

Amazing 3D on an average panel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D is insane and if you're willing to spend a day learning, you can play almost everything in 3D besides stuff with anti-cheat through a combination of Samsung software and third party fixes. Please check them out if you get this monitor. The AI 2d-to-3d conversion is quite good and usable in anything that isn't taxing your GPU like videos or other 2D content. Outside of 3D, the IPS panel in this in monitor is just ok. The picture outside of dark scenes is good, but the contrast is quite bad in anything dark. I was also disappointed that I received a panel with IPS glow in a couple places. It doesn't feel like a current gen panel to me when compared to the latest tablets or IPS screens. I do consider this more of a prototype before an OLED or mini-led (with enough dimming zones) model is made. It's pretty nice if you want to try the technology or you only use IPS screens and don't mind the downsides of that panel type. For me it absolutely proved the technology to be sound and I am extremely eager to see future 3D panels from Samsung. I give it 4 out of 5 since it's pretty much one of a kind on the market and soon to be 10 out of 5 if Samsung delivers on future displays.

Just WOW
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing prototype for whats to come. Not all games are supported yet obviously, but as more do the monitor will only feel that much better. It was kind of freaky at first but I got used to it rather quick. Connecting my pc was easy, and the size fit on my desk wonderfully. I can maintain high hz and play in great resolutions without compromise. Hopefully movies and etc via streaming services will be supported in future.
