Battery Failure & Poor Support for Premium Device
I have been a dedicated Samsung user for years, owning the phone, earbuds, watch, and now the Galaxy Ring. I purchased the ring in March 2025 with high expectations, but it has been a major disappointment. The Good: *Design: It is comfortable to wear. *Accuracy: It provides solid health readings. I rotated hands to avoid skin irritation from the sensor lights, and that worked well. *Durability: The finish shows some wear, but that is expected for a piece of jewelry. The Dealbreaker: Battery Life & Quality Control The primary issue—one I share with many other owners—is the battery. This device was advertised to last 7 days on a single charge. However, just as the warranty was expiring, the battery life collapsed. I am now forced to charge it in the morning, at mid-day, and again at night. Lately, it cannot even survive a full night of sleep tracking, which was the entire reason I bought it; I wanted a break from wearing my Galaxy Watch to bed. Support and Value: Samsung’s suggestion to use the ring alongside the watch to "extend the charge" is an unacceptable workaround for a device that should stand on its own. Furthermore, a $129 service fee to address a widespread battery issue is a shock. When a significant number of users report the same failure right at the one-year mark, the company should be offering free repairs or replacements to stand by their manufacturing quality. Final Verdict: This experience has fundamentally changed my loyalty to the Samsung ecosystem. I am now open to other brands. I actively steer people away from the Galaxy Ring—it is simply not worth the money, the constant charging, or the mental effort required to keep it functional. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere until Samsung addresses these hardware and service issues.

Hi Disappointed Samsung Fan, Thanks for contacting us to share your thoughts about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback allows us to continue making improvements on our product line. As you know, Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. There are a few things to keep in mind when wearing the Galaxy Ring. For instance, you'll want to ensure that the orientation indicator on the side of the ring is facing towards your palm. Also, make sure the ring fits and there are no gaps between your skin and the ring’s inner surface. This will ensure proper health tracking. It's best to wear the ring on your non-dominant hand to avoid scratching it and avoid wearing metal jewelry on adjacent fingers. Be sure to remove the ring when handling heavy or hard objects and avoid wearing the ring when handling magnets, as these may interrupt the health tracking features. Feel free to check out, "How to set up and wear your Galaxy Ring" if you would like to learn more. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. One year Ring
This was a great buy at first. I was warned that it will eventually be useless as a wearable and just fad into being just a ring. I bought two, one for my wife as well. Sure enough, after a year of use, the charge got shorter and shorter and it finally stop charging on both devices. We loved the fit, style and functionality when it worked. Afterwards, we no longer wear them. We would have given it a 5 star but the lack of durability, knocks two stars off.

Bad device doesnt last
Horrible Battery Life I bought this in the end of august 2024 by Fall of 2025 battery wasnt holding a charge I sent to samsung & they replaced the battery in Nov 25 By the end of March 2026 the battery couldnt hold a charge for more than 4 hours!!! I called Samsung and they do not stand behind their product. For $300 the product should last 3-5 years not 1-1.5 years. Very disappointed in Samsung

Comfortable, good battery, good readings
This seems to trackovemennt well. I get a lot of steps in a day and it seems to keep track well. I don't work out, I'm just active so I can't report on the workout tracking. I think the sleep tracking is accurate. The ring is lightweight and comfortable. I wear it working construction and it shows no scratches or wear yet, with almost 3 weeks of use.

Works great until it doesnt.
I purchased this ring for sleep tracking. I purchased mostly due to samsungs great trade in offers and no monthly payments like some other ring brands. I noticed at first it was a bit glitchy but the first update took care of any issues I had and added some features along the way. I ordered a size 14 my wife a size 10. I saw a huge difference in the battery capacity in both rings. The smaller size lasted about 4 days before having to recharge. The larger one about 6 days. Understandable due to the battery size differences. My wife's ring started randomly draining in less than 2 days at the 10 month mark. Then eventually at the 11th month it wouldn't last a single day. We reached out to Samsung support and at first they said we were over our 1 yr warranty period. Upon providing a reciept they assessed the ring and sent a replacement free of charge. The larger ring was still holding charge at around 6 days. When the ring hit the 13 month mark that dropped to 4 days. I am at the 15 month mark and I am down to 3 days of charge. I am not sure how much longer the ring will be usable. While I understand batteries degrade over time. The ring seems to go down hill around the 1 yr mark. Looking online this seems to be a well documented problem. Samsung should really extend the factory warranty to cover the abnormal battery deterioration and show that they stand behind their products and their customers.

Absolutely love this ring while it worked. Super comfy but after the first year battery life is just horrible . The gold finish is holding up great. I really have nothing to complain besides that the battery life changed to it has to be charged numerous times through the day

Gold Samsung Ring
I was very pleased with my ring during the first several months of use. It performed well, and the battery life was excellent, lasting up to four days on a single charge. However, after about four months, the gold finish began to fade significantly. Now, at approximately 11 months of ownership, the battery life has declined dramatically. I currently need to charge the ring every 12 hours and often have to carry the charger with me throughout the day. This is a major disappointment considering how well it performed initially. While I appreciated the ring in the beginning, the decline in both appearance and battery performance within the first year has been frustrating

Here's a few precautions: Prevent the ring from being exposed to dust, sweat, ink, oil, and chemical products such as cosmetics, antibacterial sprays, hand cleaners, detergents, and insecticides. The ring’s exterior and interior may become damaged, which may result in poor performance. If the ring is exposed to any of these substances, clean it using a soft, lint-free cloth. Dead after 370 days
The ring is now useless, except as a piece of jewelry. I owned an Oura ring prior to this and the only reason that I traded it in for this one was I believed it was going to be a quality Item as other Samsung products are. However, that is not the case with this ring. Tracking was never as good as my watch, the battery gave out exactly 370 days of wearing it. If you are serious about tracking your health, this isn't for you. I am going back to Oura. FYI, I am a loyal Samsung customer who always has to have the latest and greatest. I should have waited to buy until they tested it more.

battery failed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The battery failed just after the warranty period of one year. This appears to be a problem that is well documented (do a quick search). I only used this during sleep, but maybe spending time on a charger daily was too hard on it. customer support was not very helpful and it was going to be very expensive to fix this. I have zero confidence that a fix would last more than a year. Shame on Samsung the way they treated people who purchased these rings.

Steer clear of this ring!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So have had the ring a little over a year. It's been good until fairly recently. Battery life has dropped to barely a day. Apparently this is a widely complained about issue and is known to Samsung. Of course this happens right after the warranty. Samsung is refusing to do anything other than pay a stupid amount to send it in to be evaluated. For the price just going to switch to a more reliable brand. Do yourself a favor and do not get this ring!

Amazing for sleep and extra data, battery didn't l
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the ring, I don't like wearing the watch 24/7 so I was finally able to start getting sleep tracking data with the ring. Only downside is the battery has degraded greatly. Only have had the device for 13 momths year and I have to charge 1-2 times a day now and it's out of warranty by 1 month. Excited to see what the next watch offers and expands on Galaxy AI.

Was good. Now, horrible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, so when I first got the ring it was amazing for the first few months. After a few months it went to having to charge every 7 days to 6 days, then it gradually got lower and lower. Now on a good day I get twelve hours, but normally 8 hours. I got it for sleep measurement, but if I dont charge before bed I won't get the data. If I had known this was meant to be a disposable product at a few hundred a pop, I would have shopped elsewhere. I am a samsung fan, phone, watch, laptop, tablet, love em all. But the ring is a dud, unfortunately. Don't get it til they fix issue, possibly in next version or model.

Battery quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this device for a few months - battery stoped holding a charge - will die within an hour of charge. Got hot while wearing the device. The features are fine minus this. Would not reccomend - just get the watch
