About the Author
Sally Nicholls is an acclaimed author of several children's novels, including Ways to Live Forever, Shadow Girl, and Season of Secrets. She has won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Dimplex New Writer of the Year Award. Her short story "Safe Keeping" appears in Mystery & Mayhem as a tribute to classic Boy's Own-style adventures.
Ashley King is an illustrator based in Warwickshire. A First-Class graduate in Illustration and Animation, he specializes in children's book illustration. His debut picture book, Erica's Elephant, was published in 2016 to critical acclaim, and he has since illustrated titles for leading authors including Michael Rosen, Sylvia Bishop, and Michelin-starred chef Glynn Purnell.
