Buttons fell off

I finally went to have my baby wear this item and pulled it out of the package and all the snaps immediately fell off. I didn’t even pull on them or anything, they literally just fell off. Target then is telling me I can’t return it because it was out of the 90 day window but I didn’t look at it earlier because it hadn’t fit her. Now I have a defective swimsuit that can’t be snapped on a baby.
