purchased this system on 7/13/25. 3 of the shelf brackets have broken. Rubbermaid is very hard to get in contact with. I would not recommend.

Decent closet system for the pricepoint
These are strong as long as you screw it into a stud. The unit looks organized and helps with clutter but I dislike that you cannot slide your hangers. Only lift the hanger.

Horrible closet system
The instructions are horrible. I cannot understand the directions because they are so incomplete and they assume you know how to put it together. The pictures are faded, and very hard to see. This was a waste of money. So far I have not found online instructions. Do not buy this item unless you have installed closet systems similar to this, and you don't need any directions.

Here’s a general guide to help you through the process: Measure the height and width of your closet space. Use a stud finder to locate and mark the studs on the wall where you will install the hanging rail. Position the hang rail at the desired height and mark the screw holes. Drill pilot holes into the studs and secure the hang rail with screws. If your kit includes multiple rails, slide the second rail behind the first one. Attach the uprights to the hang rail. Ensure they are evenly spaced and level. Secure the uprights to the wall using screws and spacers. Insert Brackets and Shelves: Insert the brackets into the uprights at your desired heights. Love this shoe shelf

I love that it has a small shelf on top, the kids can put their shoes on top. It fits my boot boxes too, I think that's my favorite part? I love it has four shelves; which holds all my shoes so now they are organized. It was driving me crazy having shoes scattered everywhere. Perfect Shoe Rack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this shoe rack for my garage to get our "outside" shoes off of the floor, and I am so glad I did. It doesn't stick out very far, so it sits up nicely against the wall, and it doesn't take up too much space length wise, which I love. I have been able to comfortably fit about 12 pairs of mine and my husbands shoes on it, and have not had any trouble. It feels sturdy and high quality, plus it was very easy to put together. I give it a 10/10!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had this terrible DIY shelf in the home we just bought, and i was thrilled for this system! it was large enough to run length wise, VS. putting it in the tiny corner. we probably should have painted first, but I didnt want to wait for the new space this would bring. Absolutely worth the price, and i will be getting systems like this for ALL of our closets. opening the box, it looks intimidating. BUT when its time to actually assemble. its SO simple. Once you moumt the very top bar to chosse the length (3'-6'), you do the vertical bars, and then screw them to the wall so they dont wiggle. and then just starting sitting the triangle parts that hold the shelves honestly however you want! we have our set up similar. BUT its so tall in the closet and im so short, we had to move the shelves around so my husbands stuff is up top lol. for reference where the odd wood stripe is on the wall, is where the previous owners had a shelf in the closet. im not sure how high up it was, but my husband is 6ft 3. hope that helps!

I decided to try the Rubbermaid closet kit as my closet only had a clothes rod. Assembly was pretty easy as long as you can follow the included instructions. Once I configured the shelving and area to hang my clothes I discovered that my closet seems like I have more room than I used to. Now I have more room for more clothes and shoes. I may need to get more of these kits for other closets in my home.

It fits about 20 pairs of shoes on the sturdy shelves. There is plenty of height between shelves for heeled sandals or short boots.
