Wonderful, quality skates for beginner! My 5 year old daughter had different skates with 4 wheels but she couldn't manage them at all and I had to basically carry her. These have wide set rear tires and that makes all the difference!! She is learning on her own without my help and doesn't fall down instantly. I was worried about the reviews saying the sizing is way off. I have to dispute that completely. My daughter wears size 13.5 shoes, almost size 1 and these fit great with room to grow. The inside padding is adjustable as well. I will say they are very tight and difficult to get on her feet but I think that is intentional. You want them to be as tight to the foot as possible when learning how to roller skate. Squeeze them on and you won't be disappointed. She doesn't complain about any discomfort once they are on.
