Description
Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rye Barrel Aged Red Blend Red Wine is inspired by American winemaker Robert Mondavi’s commitment to traditional winemaking and producing flavorful wines for modern wine lovers. A celebration of the rich tradition of winemaking, cabernet and merlot grapes are carefully picked at the peak of ripeness, and undergo fermentation in stainless steel. Select lots of the blended wines are then aged for an additional 10 months in American oak rye barrels, enhancing the wine's flavors and complexity. Black cherry, plum, boysenberry, nutmeg, and cinnamon aroma and flavor notes leap from each glass of wine, further enhanced by a long, lush finish plus a sweet smoke and dark chocolate palate. Tasty bang for your buck!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, I tried this because my son-in-law is a big fan of red wine. So I thought this would a great wine to try together. It has a deep rich flavor and a bit of a smoky cinnamon flavor. By it being aged I thought it would be too strong or harsh but it wasn't. I of coursed paired it with a charcuterie tray, which I really enjoyed. And I like my wine chilled. So great choice!

Lovely playful & fruity
Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot is absolutely delish. Rum is not a preferred Spirit for me. So, I was genuinely astonished that I liked it! The plum and blueberry flavor of the Merlot really mesh well with the Rum. It also has a soothing fruity aroma with a hint of Vanilla. This rich, versatile full bodied wine paired perfectly with our BBQ Chicken and doubled as a dessert wine with plain Pound Cake. I think I will next try it with pasta and/or a charcuterie. I plan to purchase again for myself, as well as, serve/gift to my family and friends.

Perfect for me!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Red wine drinker, this blend was perfect for me. Had a real nice pleasant aroma and a perfect sipping flavor. I enjoyed some red grapes, and cheese cubes with it. I also ended with a few chocolate covered pretzels. I would definitely buy this wine again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine is deep ruby red in color. When you open it, you have a aroma of cinnamon, cherries and gingerbread spices and a little hint of smoke. It has light, smooth taste. This could be your every day or special occasion wine. It is well priced. It was great wine. Thank you very much for this great opportunity to taste these excellent Robert Mondavi wines and also we loved your the whole package with glasses, cutting board, bottle opener.

Rye Barrel Aroma.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The minute you open the wine, you can smell a hint of Rye and the barrel wood. I paired this wine with barbecue which amplified the woody aroma and diminished the grape taste. On its own, the wine is smooth, and has a rich taste of oak and smoke which tells me the wine really aged in a barrel.

A Solid Blend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid red blend. The rye barrel aging adds notes of oak and vanilla. It's medium bodied with a long finish containing a somewhat sweet blackberry and cherry note. This would be a great addition to some savory appetizers. A great blend for a great price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another really unique RM bottle. I don't usually drink red blends, but I've never had a red blend quite like this. It has different beats where other red blends fall flat. We really liked it with sharp cheddar cheese and look forward to cooking some pasta sauce with it fit extra zip.

I like a good red wine and I am partial to a Moscato. The sweetness of the Red Blend is the perfect sweet combination.

Unique Flavor!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The #RobertMondaviPrivateCollection Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend was a unique experience. This was the first Red Blend I had ever tried so I was not sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. The deep color coupled with the aromas of oak, grain, and plum were heavenly. Infound the taste to be a bit dry but still smoith with an easy finish. We paired the Red Blend with an assortment cheeses and grapes. My guests enjoyed this course of our dinner. Spicy smell

Complex yet balanced red blend

Paired this wine with peppercorn steak and it held up nicely. Really an excellent full-bodied, smooth wine. I will definitely be buying this again!

Rye not?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've actually never had rye anything before this wine & it was pretty dang good! Way better than expected. Still not as good as the normal Red Blend but this is a nice suble way to spice it up.
