Peace of Mind
i’ve had the ring doorbell for a while now and honestly it just gives me peace of mind. being able to see who’s at the door from my phone — whether i’m home or not — is everything. the video quality is super clear, even at night, and the motion alerts are actually accurate. i love that i can talk through it too, especially for deliveries or when the kids are home and i don’t want them opening the door. the app is easy to use and i can scroll back through recordings if i need to check something. the subscription is an extra cost, but for security and convenience it feels worth it. overall, it just makes me feel safer and more in control. definitely one of those things you don’t realize you need until you have it.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Outdoor Cam Plus, Battery are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review. It sounds like your device is having trouble connecting to your home's wifi network. If you have issues connecting to your home wifi, try the following steps. Make sure you're entering the correct password. Passwords are case-sensitive and do not include spaces. Your network password can often be found on the bottom or side of your router. Make sure your password doesn't have any special characters. If your password contains characters like an asterisk (*), pound sign (#), or exclamation mark (!), remove them by changing the password in your router's settings. If you do not have access to these settings, contact your internet service provider to change the password. Make sure you have a 5 GHz-compatible Ring device if you're trying to connect to a 5 GHz network. If you do have a 5 GHz compatible device but still have issues, connect to a 2.4 GHz network first, then switch to the 5 GHz network after setup is complete. Simple. Easy. Effective. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a hard time finding the right spot for this camera but then I realized it didn’t need to be outside! I just needed to see the drive way. I have a room with the perfect window that faces out. This has proven invaluable as a person with 3 dogs -one who doesn’t like guests- and a busy household with people in and out of the backyard regularly. One quick glance at the camera to make sure no vehicles are in the driveway and the dogs are free to go wild in the yard! If you need something simple that doesn’t require a speaker and doesn’t require any technical skills, I highly recommend this. It makes me feel safer when my husband is traveling and helps me know I can keep backyard guests safe from my crazy dogs!

Absolutely awful. It only detects cars and people maybe 50% of the time maybe less!! Got it for specific reasons and it’s more of an annoyance

Hi Rocket. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how important it is to have your Ring Outdoor Cam Plus capture all the correct motion events. The Ring Outdoor Cam Plus was designed to capture motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review. It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to motion detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. Here are a few tips to optimize the motion settings on your security camera: 1. Adjust Motion Sensitivity: Ring devices can detect motion up to 30 feet with the Motion Sensitivity slider at the maximum level. If you turn Motion Sensitivity down, this range will be lower, decreasing false motion. If your device is missing motion, increase the Motion Sensitivity using the slider. 2. Change the position of your Ring device: Adjust the position of your camera to improve the accuracy of motion detection. 3. Turn on Smart Alerts: You can enable Smart Alerts on your doorbell or camera to improve motion accuracy in detecting people and other objects, including packages. To turn on Smart Alerts, tap the Motion Settings tile on the device’s page in the Ring app. A Ring Home Plan is required to use Smart Alerts. You can learn more about adjusting the motion detection settings here: https://ring.com/support/articles/q986o/troubleshooting-motion-detection. We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Outdoor Cam Plus. Easy set up, quick peace of mind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a great, easy to set up and use product that works smoothly. Should have purchased one sooner! Setup is super easy! Just scan the QR code on instruction manual and app pops up with step by step visuals. The longest part of the process was charging the battery, which took a few hours. My only challenge was removing the bottom of the camera to get to the battery. I have autoimmune issues and removing the bottom and the battery was challenging with weakened hand strength, but not impossible! Just took a moment longer. Next step was mounting. I have a brick home and didn’t want to drill into my brick, especially since tech evolves so quickly. Thankfully, I have a transom above my door and was able to set up the ring camera there—perfect solution! In high winds/tropical storm season, I’m not sure it will be stable enough. An adhesive or clip on option might have been a more secure addition to the product. I live in a super rural area so having the ability to remotely view my home and visitors was a nice addition while I was out of town. App worked quickly and smoothly to relay live views and videos of visitors. Streamed smoothly with spotty cell service. Added bonus is that you can change the motion sensitivity and schedule times and days for alerts. Ring gave peace of mind while I was away for the day. Monthly plans are affordable with multiple tiers. Love that!

User friendly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is by far one of the best ones I’ve used. The response time is super fast, virtually has almost no lag. I love that it came with a rechargeable battery pack which lasted a whole month before I needed to recharge. The night feature is also pretty clear. It is reaching over 100º here and it hasn’t affected the response time of video quality. It was also super fast to set up.

Neater than a wired camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The motion detector paired with the video quality and long battery life makes this outdoor camera seamless. The installation was easy; I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but it seems durable and weatherproof so far.

Useful but I am spoiled to plug in not battery cam
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this camera for free and exchange for honest feedback through the influencer app. I use the camera in my front door. I had a problem with battery life. I guess my front door is busier than I thought. The battery would last about anywhere between six and eight hours or so before it got low and needed to charge. V way you recharge the battery on this camera camera is that you have to unscrew the bottom and pull out the battery pack and then plug it into a USB-C cable. So first off the bat that to me was a bummer because I like to plug my cameras into the electricity. I already know if some bad person's coming here they're gonna cut my juice. so anyhow, the camera notified somewhat decent. I messed around with the settings a little bit, trying to make it a little bit more sensitive because sometimes it wouldn't pick up on a person I had to be within 3 feet in front of the lens for it to pick up motion, but other times it would pick up motion somewhere else. It was weird. I didn't understand it. It would pick it up like later down the sidewalk like you know the walkway. For my use is because the front of my house is extremely busy. That's why I have to plug-in cameras. I was kind of hoping that this would work because I like the flexibility of it.. so next what I decided to use the camera for was to record a family member who has dementia to make sure that they're not getting up and moving and hurting themselves are getting in trouble for those. I don't know they're like little kids.. camera was useful for that until he found out there was a camera then it was a problem, not with the camera, but for the person didn't like being recorded, but if you could subtly put it up on a shelf or somehow that would be useful, but then you're gonna have to go over and keep charging it so I don't know but it was nice to have if you have to leave the house or just go outside. You can set it up kind of right on them. If you wanna watch them on your phone constantly real time that was really nice or you can set it up to the side of their chair like so they have to walk by somewhere set it up watching that and so when they walk in front of the camera, you know they're up and about. it worked very well for this. It would also be useful to watch a pet if you were to leave for a pet it might actually last all day unless you got a real active pet that goes in front of the camera a lot, my dog I guess he sees the IR because he walks up to the camera so in terms of use we found use watching the family member more than a security camera for our front door it just depends. I guess on what your needs are but to me that's the good and bad of this camera would I buy one? Yes, possibly I don't know what other cameras are out there. My house has a swan system and I've had that for a very long time so I haven't tried any of the new cameras. This was my first time using any sort of camera except for an Arlo and the Arlo would die very fast so this battery life is better than that one so that's I guess my comparison to Swan Arlo. i'm thankful to have the opportunity to try the camera for free however but if you have a loved one, you have to watch then you might consider this camera.

Easy setup, strong motion detection, and long batt
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to set up and install. The motion sensor is reliable and picks up activity accurately without too many false alerts. Battery life is solid—lasts weeks on a single charge, even with frequent motion events. Great security addition, just wish it came with a drill less option.

Good video quality, this design needs some improve
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The video quality of this security camera by ring is high quality. The viewing span is wider than our last security camera. I find this impressive as I want the widest view possible. Installation was quite tricky because the camera seems like it was designed to sit on a shelf rather than to be mounted to a wall. It took us quite a bit of time and tinkering around with the camera to figure out how we could securely mount this camera to the front door area of our home. The camera just kept seeming heavy top for its light weight and unstable seeming mount design at the bottom. The design definitely needs revision. We played around with the different features on the app for the camera. It doesn’t have a motion detection light like our last camera so this is disappointing. It does have an alarm sound, however it isn’t as loud as it ideally should be so that it can alert neighbors and scare away a potential threat. There is a feature to allow an owner of a home to be able to communicate with whoever is at their door. However, the sound quality could stand to be better. Outdoor cameras are supposed to be weather proof, however it usually takes a good few months and each season to truly tell how weather proof a camera really is. I will report back my observations as we observe. I will add that we kept looking at this camera and questioning if it truly is weather proof or not because of the design. The app was easy to download and connect to the camera. I think this camera is a fairly good one, however it does have room for improvement.
