So far good
I got to say I was definitely skeptical about purchasing but I knew it would come in handy given I am pregnant and needed a little more ease to my cleaning for my turtle however I will say the instructions that came with the tank was not as specific as you would think very difficult in a way that you just have to use enough of your common sense to figure out everything but eventually in the end I managed to do it. I do think the tube leaks out SOME water but not excessively unless you of course unlock it to release the water from tank.

So far so good! Functional and cute
This was intended to be an upgrade (and forever home) to our Floridian cooter (well adolescent) aquatic turtle, from her smaller condo. To set this up, we started at 7p… bad idea. Took a couple of hours, considering it was a transfer from the prior tank, so we had to empty/clean the old tank and the accessories. The instructions were decent but took time to assemble and set up, plus stage. Oh and comes with white (fancy) gloves to minimize fingerprints. As this is a two level option tank, the top frame is placed onto the first level of the 7inch glass. Took us an hour to realize that, as instructions don’t really point that out. Admittedly, took a while for the “ohhh” moment to kick in. IMPORTANT: make sure you rinse or throughly wet wipe the tank glass and parts, as the styrofoam packaging can tend to leave random residual, as well as residual from the black plastic parts!! Apparently, styrofoam is the herpes of the packaging world. If you fill it up without the pre-clean, you will see those particles floating. Cant hurt your exotics! In respect to packaging, while a nuisance for clean up, there were no damages or cracks. Very very well packed! Just be sure to have a vacuum or handheld on deck! Also I ended up having to order a new tank stand from WayFair, as the one I have is way too narrow. Edges are somewhat sharp, added with the heaviness, so I need the tank to sit on a spacious and sturdy top. Since I have an aquatic turtle, for the 7inch water capacity level, I have filled it up to about less than half way with water. She’s still getting used to it, as this is adequately spacious for her (she’s currently at about 5 inches long). Also need a new heater because the one I have isn’t heating up the water anymore. The one I have is 50 watts, and supposedly good for up to 10-15 gallons of water, but doesn’t seem to work out. Worked perfectly in her old home, which held about 5 gallons or so. So I ordered a 200 watt one this week. The top screen does not seem to be adjustable, so I had to order one of those sit-on-top lamps. The ones I have are clip on, but have been good for the meantime as I am able to still lay the cover on top with a slight tilt, but not too visual bothersome and does not seem unstable. For pricing, this was adequately priced versus other options from Amazon and this was a reliable brand. Haven’t tried the drainage yet. Waiting for the new stand, which I may need to customize for the bottom drainage. The narrow stand I have now does help the draining be exposed for use, but not trying to chance it. Will update review if possible when I use drainer. I ordered this huge basking platform, but there is more than enough space for her to swim around and even under. I have tall rocks I’ve ordered but soaking them to remove all the clay. Don’t really want to clutter the tank tho. The key stem that goes on the glass is a lil flimsy and will come off if not secured onto the glass firmly. But I don’t have a use for it now, so no real bother. Oh and the cord hole thingy on the side, still trying to figure that out. Had issues placing the cover back on once I had the cords for the heater and filter go thru it. Giving 4 stars due to the instructions lacking, non adjustable screen, flimsy key hold, and the glue finishes within the black parts/covering were really visible. Not sure if it’s standard or just sloppy work? Overall so far I’m happy with the purchase.
