Remington Gloss Straight Barrel Curling Wand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved Remington brand for hair care tools. So I was very excited to receive this ceramic heat wand! I love using a wand to curl my hair, but this one is the best! My hair is very thick and straight so it usually doesn’t curl well but this is the first time I’ve gotten beautiful flawless curls. I like the fiber material on the wand that’s infused with different shine boosting and anti static ions so your curls are shiny and frizz free! The cone shape of this wand makes it easy to handle without struggling and gives my hair natural looking curls. It’s light weight & sleek. I love that it has multiple adjustable heat settings and heats up super quick within seconds. With the temp dial located at the bottom it makes it easy to set the temperature. My curls turn out good without burning the hair and I’m able to finish in a couple minutes. I’m glad it comes with a heat protectant glove since I tend to burn my fingers a lot with other wands. Overall I like this product and recommend to give it a try.

This is my first time using a curling wand so the learning curve is steep, and my photos absolutely reflect a need for more practice… I’m not used to having to wrap my hair without a clip, but the included styling glove provides added protection, which my fingers greatly appreciated. This Remington Gloss Curling Wand is unique in its features, such as how it contains 9 times more ceramic to ensure even heat distribution and fast results, while Anti-Static Technology adds ions to help protect against frizz and flyaways. I definitely saw a difference in how my curls came out smoother and more refined, despite my amateur curling routine. I also appreciated how this wand has eight variable heat settings and a super quick 30 second heat up time! I personally used the specialty PRO+ Setting style at 365 degrees for less heat exposure and gentle styling, I think that was the ideal temp for my thin straight hair. While I do see how it can be useful once I get more accustomed to it, the barrel is equipped with Grip-Tech Technology, a practical anti-slip texture that helps prevent hair from sliding as you curl; this proved to make it difficult for me to slide my hair off once I was done curling, which meant I had to slowly unwrap them by twisting and turning the wand. It’s not necessarily a flaw, but something to keep in mind if you have long hair like I do. Overall, I do like the innovation of this Remington Curling Wand, but it’s definitely more of a struggle to use as a curling newbie and it will take time for my results to reflect what this product does well.
