Not the same!
The recipe has changed. These are very plastic-y and taste like twizzlers.

Fair Warning...I should've listened...
Don't fall for fabricated nastalgia!!! It's not what you used to get at the ball field. At first bite, I thought, "oh, not bad, that's pretty close." Second rope in, they because dog treats, and they aren't even super keen on them. They taste like chemicals, not even close to Redvines. If you are wanting the OG flavor, just buy Redvines, because this will disappoint.

Not So Super!
As another reviewer wrote, these are not the same size formula that made them famous. The old ropes could get stale and super chewy, but even in that state, they taste 10x better then the current formula. The new ropes are always soft and crazy sticky, but the texture and taste, just don't equal what I expected. No amount of complaining will bring the old ropes back, so just be aware, these don't taste like you remember, so prepare to be disappointed.

Best, Halloween candy
We had over 800 trick-or-treaters and this was by far the best candy of the night. Kids were so excited. They literally jumped around and showed their parents. Unfortunately we ran out

Just not the same as it used to be
The licorice is not bad but most certainly is not what I remember as kid, which is why I ordered. I was looking for the rich flavor, chalky outer layer and so hard you could barely pull it apart by hand. This new stuff does not have the same texture, flavor or consistancy. Frankly, it has a chemical taste. I am not mad with it as I am still enjoying it but it is not what I was expecting.

Disappointing variation of a childhood favorite.
Buddy got me one today as he knew I loved these years ago and they’re completely different. Thinner in diameter, different texture and taste. This was more akin to twizzlers in taste (not my favorite) and more glossier/plastics in texture vs the drier deliciousness I remember. Overall disappointed and won’t be buying in the future - change it back please!

Hard pass. Not the same flavor or texture
These definitely taste different. Wish they were the same recipe but these taste like twizzlers. I love twizzlers but I wanted to taste old school licorice ropes.

Special Memories Rekindled
Was chatting with my adult daughter a month ago, she was sharing her Red Vines red twists with us. Our conversation went back several years, reminiscing about the baseball games we’d attend as a family, and the Red Vines ropes we’d always treat the kids with at the games. My husband passed 6 years ago, but those memories came back in full detail. So, luckily, I was able to find you online and ordered several Red Vines 34” red ropes. We’re going to have an amazing time sharing these during the Holidays and recalling more great memories together. Still as delicious as ever! Highly recommend.!

Screwed up a great product
Very disappointed. As others have stated, the recipe has changed. It's more like a shoelace licorice. Skinny and wax coated. Why would you ever change what people have loved for years? Handing it out for Halloween, definitely don't have to worry about eating it all before October.

Different taste, and texture than the past
Taste and texture change. I loved the bite on these as a kid. They ate softer and for some reason taste different than the re released red rope in a bag. Additionally, the red rope in a bag is thinner now, and also softer but at least still tastes the same.

Changed the formula?
I'm disappointed that it seems like the formula has changed. I bought the same super ropes 2 to 3 months ago and it was way different. The new ones are thicker and taste like a blend of the old super ropes formula and red ropes. They are really good still, but not quite as good as the old ones. Im curious as to what has happened. I would really like to hear from someone at the company.
