I ove the the simplistic design and makes it look old but new in the use of new materials. I fit in with my decor. I love the selection in the online store.

Some people think about Looks, Decor, or Color. I do NOT. I think about Function, COSPA, & Performance. I want a hurricane lantern which can function in the wind. I need a lantern to keep the pump house from freezing up in the winter, or doing barn chores before dawn. . I don't want to waste my money on a fashionable lantern because calves and chickens have to be fed. This small blue Royal Rayo fits the bill. It has a wide base that won't easily tip over. It has a high capacity kerosene tank which will burn for a very long time without being topped up. I guess it is also good for ambience at a BBQ, atmosphere on a camping trip, or insect repellent in the summer. But a small dependable light source, enough heat to keep ice from forming, and long run performance are what keep this little jewel hanging around at my place.

I have a whole collection of lanterns and this is my newest addition. It was well-built and the color looks great. I collect these for nostalgia sake, but they also come in handy during power failures. I placed this one on my desk and enjoyed a quiet evening by lantern light.

I ordered three lanterns. One came without a wick. One had a wick guide already detached from the base. The third lantern is good.

Really like them. I keep them for emergencies.

I love it. I purchased as part of prepping and this will work perfectly for any power outages we may experience this winter.
