Can’t rotate the umbrella
The stand is sturdy with 200 lbs. of paver sand and topped off with water inside the base as directed. However, despite following directions given, depressing the foot pedal and holding on to the handle the stand will not allow the umbrella to rotate. Since the base now weighs 300 lbs, we cannot move the whole thing around. So, we cannot ever be shaded after 9 am in the morning. Not at all happy.

Umbrella base
I have 2 bases from Purple Leaf for two different umbrellas and they are great I live 20 minutes from the ocean and afternoon sea breezes can be gusty and these bases do their job!

very nice and stable stand, though a bit hard to fill to the max found we could not return an extra base because we bought it as an open box item but, PL made good by refunding us the cost in any event with an extra base in hand, we looked around the yard and found a space needing some shade, so we order another PL umbrella! through it all June was terrific

Randomly leaks
This seemed like a nice umbrella base however it randomly leaked. Filled it with water and tightened the closures and will leak on random days and times, very odd. Once you put it together you can’t keep adding water once it lays flat or you won’t get to fill enough. Had to buy sand bags to put on top of it and takes away from the look of the base.
