A: Not a doctor but a rosacea sufferer, also. What bothers one person’s skin could be tolerated extremely well by the next. That being said, I think it’s a very well formulated vitamin C and Dr. Sam Ellis (the creator of Prequel) has rosacea, too.

Good product, bad odor and dispenser.
I like the after effects, but it squirts out too quickly and goes everywhere wasting a lot of product. It also smells bad like the liquid in a package of hot dogs. Since it’s a thin serum, I would prefer a dropper.

Good serum, bad pump
The serum itself is great. Yes, it does smell bad but that's what you get with some unscented products. The smell is probably due to the Ferulic acid which has a naturally not so pleasant scent, and this product doesn't have any fragrance to mask it. However, you just need to give it a few seconds and it will fade away. My only real issue is with the packaging/pump. The pump dispenses way too much especially when it's full/new. If you're not careful, it squirts everywhere. It gets a little better as the bottle starts to empty but at first, it's really bad. If it wasn't for that, I would rate it 5 stars.

Hydrating serum
I bought this about a month ago when I needed to replace my Vanicream vitamin C serum. This is definitely a step up in the quality of the serum. It does have more of a greasy feel to it when you put it on but it absorbs quickly. The dispenser brought it down to a 4/5 instead of a 5/5. The pump always comes out really fast and splashes every time.

Pump broke
I usually love prequel products but this vit c was a disappointment. I don’t care so much about the smell but it oxidizes very quickly (even though I’m keeping it in the fridge) and is a very oily consistency. However my biggest issue is that the pump broke and I probably still have half the bottle but can’t use the rest of the product so it’s a waste of product and money. This is a pass for me and won’t repurchase.

Incredible vitamin C serum!
I have always been a consistent vitamin C user. However, I recently switched from another vitamin C product to this one and noticed a huge difference within DAYS! My skin tone was so much more even and complexion glowy. I hate that people give this a bad review because of the smell. Yes, ferulic acid has a distinct scent, but I actually don't mind it and... get over it. This product is amazing, and especially for the price point!!! The consistency is very liquid, which I like, and I think the finish is also great. (Vitamin C products can turn color, but this does not diminish their efficacy when used within normal time frame.)

Burnt me!
Not a good experience. I think the packaging is defective- the slightest pressure releases a gush of very orange fluid. So much that if you try to use it, you may burn the heck out of your lovely face. I'm still recovering from 2 applications. Luckily I know how to restore my barrier, but Im definitely not going to be using the rest up. I did reach out to Prequel about the amount of product issued but got no feedback other than return it.

Product good, pump bad
It feels good going on, does have a smell to it (that I don't find offensive), skin looks glowy after applying BUT the pump is HORRIBLE. First use, I barely pressed the pump and a ton of product came out and got all over my sink. Tried to press it even more gently again and product still came flying out. Unfortunately, if the pump doesn't get fixed, I will not purchase again.
