Not their best effort
I’m a big fan of Premier Protein and have enjoyed nearly every flavor I’ve tried, but this is absolutely not their best effort. It performs like their other shakes in that it gives me that extra boost of sustained energy to keep up with work, kids, exercise, etc. and it’s filling enough to replace a meal. However, while the initial flavor is decadent and delicious, it’s quickly replaced with an aftertaste that’s chalky and musty—the flavor typical of protein powders. I like Premier so much because their regular shakes don’t have that gross taste at all, so I was very disappointed in this flavor. It’s scared me off trying their other indulgence varieties, but fortunately there are plenty of options from the regular line!

Taste and texture is off-putting
I wanted to love this. The chocolate strawberry misses the mark. It comes off as a fake strawberry flavor in a chocolate shake but the after taste is even worse, a chemical taste. The texture of these indulgence isn’t the same as the regular shakes. It has almost a chia pudding texture. Thick and kind of gross.

Price Error?
I think there's some sort of pricing error on these, as they are the same price as the 12-packs. They previously were $10.79 a week ago, had to price match when i purchased on Sunday (Circle app was still showing $10.79 price but rang up at $31.99).

It had a great chocolate flavor with the strawberry aftertaste. Highly recommend if you also don't like the powdery flavor in protein shakes

I was impressed with this product and did not detect any chalkiness, grittiness, or unpleasant after taste. I sed this as a breakfast shake and would recommend it for a good source of protein to fill in the gaps. It contains 30 grams of protein and would also work as a lunch meal replacement as it kept me full.
