Q: It's hard to tell from the pictures but is this gender neutral enough for a boy? Usually we say all toys are for all kids but my son has gotten older and dislikes "girl stuff" if it's too pink, etc. Thoughts? He's six BTW and LOVES Target and small toys.

SO DISAPPOINTED!
My daughter has been begging for a Polly Pocket playset for a year now. I found this and purchased it for her birthday today. We are SO disappointed! It seems that the manufacturer tightened every thing that's supposed to slide back and forth or up and down (sliding doors, the basket on the conveyor belt, and the elevator)! Other than the ramp that folds down and the doghouse that opens, all the other moving components are completely stationary/stuck in place and we cannot disassemble it to adjust anything whatsoever. This was the one gift that I was looking forward to her enjoying and the one she was the most excited for... until she attempted to play with it. Major let down all around!

This is a very cute set with lots of details. The fold-down entrance, the elevator and the doghouse are my favorite parts. I also am pleased to see a wheelchair. For those complaining that the compact doesn't latch properly, it's because the clear sliding doors aren't closed all the way. Make sure they are completely shut and the case will latch with no problem. Also, just be careful when popping the tiny pieces out of the plastic packaging - they like to go flying and disappear.
