Pictionary Air - Star Wars Board Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With an app and easy set up, the game was ready to go quickly. The kids enjoy the Star Wars themed topics and drawing idea. Caveats are the kids find the scoring procedure a bit complicated, and there are glitches in the translation of what they are drawing compared to how it shows up on the screen (to be expected with a wireless, digital tool) in small details. Overall, though, it is fun and easy to play. The nine year old especially likes it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This could've been a really cool game and maybe it's just operator error but we were struggling but that made the game more fun. You definitely need a smart TV to stream the game on a larger screen. We started just with our phone and the screen was simply too small. Once we were able to stream it on a larger screen, the drawing became much harder because it had inverted is so if we "drew" to the right, it showed on screen as going to the left. This messed us up but ohh the laughs. No one drew we'll but it was certainly a great time! We loved the idea of a picture on the card so even those of us that didn't know who or what the word was we at least had a picture to draw from!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This interactive pictionary game is so much fun for all ages. We enjoyed it so much! It was fun to see our drawings on the screen. Everyone had a great time. The only con I can see was the difficult set up. This advertses that you can do it on the screen or the TV but it requires a chromecast or Apple TV or similar device. We ended up using it in a large tablet because we couldn't find a way to cast it at the moment.

It took some getting used to drawing in the air but that's part of the fun! We did have to make some adjustments for players not super familiar with Star Wars so if you are looking for something for a wider audience definitely choose another version. My 8 year old was more knowledgeable than I was. All in all a fun time for a Star Wars loving family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was super easy to set up! We downloaded the app and the instructions were very straight forward. We were able to cast it to our TV for even more fun game play! The card prompts were easy enough for even our 8 year old to be able to draw at least one or two of them on each card! Having the picture words that tie into Star Wars movies and characters is an added bonus. The game randomly adds time to the losing team and randomly alters the screen for the winning team (making guessing difficult for a few seconds) which makes the game even more fun and exciting! We loved this game, especially the ease of set up, simple instructions, and the wand that functioned perfectly! It’s a fun change to traditional Pictionary!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is really fun to play if you have a good knowledge of star wars. The pen is easy to use and easy to connect to a device. We had a fun time playing and trying to figure out the clues. Would love to get the other versions to play more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pictionary Air "Star Wars" was a little hard to set up at first. I needed my 8 year old to help. I was able to cast it to my Smart Tv from my Android mobile phone. You need total darkness or the pen will begin to write all over by itself! That took some time to figure out ! It was easy to draw in the air with it but it took a few times to get used to it. My 8 year old does not know Star Wars characters so we drew other things. Its great for Star Wars fans that know the characters to draw. Many cards came with so that is cool. The pen is easy, came with a battery, very nice. A fun game to use cast to your large smart tv.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pictionary AIR Star Wars is a fun twist on the original Pictionary game - both in terms of the delivery and with the Star Wars theme. I deleted a Star from our rating because the set up on the game for TV projection was not the easiest. The app is fairly easy to follow, but there are no print or in-app directions on how to cast the image to the TV beyond saying that you can. I needed to Google a few things - including the type of phone I had and the type of casting that I had access to, in order to get something to work. Perhaps with a different set-up (phone or casting), it would have been easier. It would have been nice to have more detail on the various phone/casting that are recommended or even possible. The play of the game is fun, although it definitely requires Star Wars knowledge! It also would be more fun with more people. However, we were able to play with just 3 family members and have some fun with this game. I would recommend this game for Star Wars fans, and for those that are technically inclined that are looking for a fun twist on the original Pictionary Game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Playing Pictionary with friends and with a star wars themed set was a lot of fun over the weekend. Convinced some buddies along with the kids to join us in playing the game. Although some had little to no knowledge, it was still pretty fun. We did had some trouble getting the display to show up on the television but we sufficed to just using a cell phone and passed it around to use per group.

My 10 yr old is a huge star wars fan so she was super excited to try the game out. Connecting the game with the tv was super easy. The game is absolutely fun to play. Very easy to work the app. My kids were even able to run the app without assistance. I did find the some of the things on the cards were really difficult to draw so we just changed the rules a bit. Id give the game 5 stars howeber the only complaint that i really had was we noticed that sometimes in certain light the game would pick up that we were using the pen even when we werent so sometimes it messed our drawings up. We just turned the phone away from brighter spots and it worked perfectly. 10/10 recommend. You dont have to be a star wars fan to enjoy this game either!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pictionary game has kept us entertained for hours on end!! It is simple to learn and easy to use! It was so nice to have simple family time, filled with laughter and smiles. My 7 yr old is absolutely obsessed with playing it!

Nevertheless, my boys enjoyed trying to draw and guessing. Also, a lot of the clues were little too challenging for 8 year old boys. However, overall, it was a fun game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The concept of drawing in the air with a pen seemed neat. The AA battery is included for the pen, and it comes with a little a plastic stand for your mobile phone, or maybe a small tablet to place it upright during game play after you download ‘Pictionary Air’ app. There are two stacks of cards with four words and one Starwars image on each side of the cards to choose from when playing game. The first trouble we encountered playing this version of Pictionary was when downloading the app into our ipad, it for some reason never connected to the camera. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, the gave the app permission to access the iPad camera, but was unable to do it. I then switched to downloading the app to my phone (I’m on an iPhone X with iOS 15.5, so your mileage may vary). It was straight forward and was able to use the camera. The only problem now was; that all our family had to gather really close to look at the phone screen (hence the first choice of using the larger screen on a tablet) while the person drawing in the air with the pen attempted to draw his picture. Depending how far the person drawing is from your phone with the app, there was some lag for the line drawing to show on the phone screen. Same issue if the person drawing; wanted to see what was showing on the screen, or if his drawing in the air input needed adjusting or erased. This just added unnecessary time that the player could have used to keep drawing while it was his turn. We also tried casting to our Apple TV from our phone to be able to see the drawn image larger in the TV, it did work in that respect. But the lag from moving the pen in the air to showing in the phone screen and then the TV still persisted or sometimes a felt even laggier. The cards with the choice words to draw themselves were good and the added Star Wars images a nice touch for Star Wars fans, but sometimes difficult draw or guess for the casual user. The app makes you choose a Star Wars droid as your team helper, and it would randomly appear while you are drawing to give you extra time to your countdown or at time make it more difficult to draw to the opposing team. The kids really enjoyed this feature. For example one droid would put a smoke screen, so there would be a curtain of smoke slowly rising in the screen and you can’t see what your drawing. All in all, neat concept, but the lagging input from the pen to the screen while drawing was an aggravating pain point that was highlighted by all persons drawing. And if you have children drawing, they can get a bit impatient if the image freezes or lags. Again it could be just my phone/tv hardware and app combination, but it took the seamless experience of drawing with a marker on paper to getting frustrated at times trying to draw in the air and looking at the screen and not see what you just drew. We’ll continue to use the Star Wars cue cards but stick to the marker and paper for the next Pictionary game night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a fun game! We played this on our tv and it really made Pictionary come to life. The R2D2 drawing pen added extra fun. It was a little hard for the smaller players to air draw but after a few rounds everyone got the hang of it. The clues were a little hard but some of them were really fun to air draw and put ourselves in the drawing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this! We try to limit wifi and bluetooth usage in our home and were delighted to find that this app used neither one. Simply turn on the camera and play! My son had some much fun watching his images come though on the device screen.

We had a blast playing with the pen and it kept the family entertained for hours. My husband might have loved it the most!

It is simple enough that your parents/grandparents can play as well as your children (older then 8). A true family game. If you are a star wars fan then this version is perfect for you.

Out family loves Pictionary Air-it is hilarious to watch people try and draw things in the air...It so exciting when it actually resembles anything and a huge bonus when someone figures out what the object being drawn is. This is a game has been fun for all generations....grandparents were even able to easily figure it out (and of course the kids did too). For the Star Wars fans of the world this game is a must have!
