The precision dial for making adjustments is brilliant fast and so accurate with both attachments big and small. It is a great for stubble control and shaping. The trimmer has a built in hair collector, it is a good add although it doesnt collect much hair although it does not need to be used. Battery time is great, 5 minute charge for a quick trim. Fully washable. Definitely pay attention when removing heads as the pins that clip in feel like they would snap easily. Would recommend.

The ability to change the length you want cut with the simple twist of the dial allows me to quickly change the length without having to spend much time fiddling around with different guards. The ability to have the cut hair be caught in a compartment on the device is a great time saver for clean-up, as I simply have to empty the piece instead of wiping down the sink. The build quality feels really solid and it’s comfortable to hold, which makes trimming quick and easy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the packaging the product is packed very nicely, the spare parts are found in the travel pouch which is the perfect size for fitting in your hand luggage It comes with a small charging station for the device for static charging or the cable can be plugged straight in to the bottom of the device for on the go The first thing you notice is the real quality of the build of the trimmer. It has a nice weight to it and is made of sturdy material that is finished to a high standard. It trims to different lengths which are adjustable using the dial on the trimmer making it very easy to use. The hair collector is a massive bonus, something which most products do not have which I believe separates this from the rest of the market. No more mess trying to pick up a load of hair, it’s all collected and can be emptied easily. Overall this is a really strong product by Phillips and would highly recommend to anyone who uses a beard trimmer without a hair collection device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was an easy to use device. Quick to setup and charge. One issue being that I needed to supply a usb to socket adaptor. Not an issue but felt like it could have been included. Charging was simple and quick so tried my first shave with the clipping catcher attached. It took a bit to get the setting for the height to what I wanted but I loved the fact I did not have to swap heads just turn a dial. First shave I was disappointed it felt rough and not like its normal smooth shave. I tried my normal shaver and it gave a light trim and all normal. Second time trying I removed the clipping catcher and suddenly I got my normal smooth shave.

Some highlights are that it charges quickly, the battery lasts a long time, it's easy to clean, and it came with attachments for every use case. the adjustable guard for shorter lengths. It still works, and I love the expanded range of settings between 1 and 3, amount of give. With the attachments and heads this trimmer is versatile enough for most trimming tasks. I mostly use it to trim my facial hair and the occasional body trim. I find it to be an all around upgrade over my older OneBlade that I am replacing with no real downsides The amount of give in the adjustable guard doesn't seem to affect the consistency of the length setting to a degree that I've noticed with the resulting trim. That being said, I still highly recommend the unit.

Also I expected there would be a plug included but there was only a USB charger. I didn't expect to have to plug it into my laptop to be able to charge it. It’s smooth, doesn’t pull (like some cheaper alternatives” and has enough weight to be controlled. The packaging is stylish, and the carry-bag useful. It’s comes with a USB charger rather than shaver, again, something useful for looking good on the go. The only slight drawback of the product is - it can be clunky to change the heads quickly, they sometimes get stuck or unable to easily be removed - this isn’t a big drawback, but overtime. I’m hoping these loosen up and become a bit easier to attach.

There is no wall plug included, so if you want to keep it in the bathroom, you need to buy Phillips' USB adaptor. Although the charging stand uses USBC, the shaver does not, so if travelling, you must take the stand with you. First impressions are good, with the shaver being good to look at and fitting well in the hand. Although the materials used are all solid, and should last well, the top part is not rubberised, so grip can suffer a little because of this. The combs are also pretty plasticky, and the one I use for my beard extends over the outside edges of the trimmer blades, so it's not as accurate as I would like. The controls are simple, with one button to turn on and off, and a wheel to select the length. Both work well. The performance of the motor is less good, being a big step down from the power of the Philips 9000 series. I find compared to that shaver, I have to go over areas almost twice as much to ensure all the hairs are cut. At the time of review, that shaver is only 10% more expensive than this one. One feature I was looking forward to was the hair catcher, and in many ways it does work well. Initially I was a little upset that to remove it, you need to first remove the length comb, but I quickly realised that since the whole shaver is waterproof, you can rinse it out easily. It most definitely makes less mess than other shavers, though some cleanup is still needed. Overall, this is a capable shaver with some decent features. My only major complaint is the motor's performance, and given that the 9000 series is only 10% more expensive, it is a tough call as to which I would recommend.
