Philips Hue White Welcome LED Floodlight: Black, Outdoor Wall Light, 2300 Lumens, Integrated LED, Smartphone App Required

Replaced my 500 watt halogen light with this. It's not quite as bright. But still does the job I need. For far less cost.

Very flimsy lighting, difficult to crest weather proof seal

Just what we wanted. It provides pleasant bright light to our front house house on an outdoor motion sensor. Love it

Item is defective but I can't return since it's installed and works okay

It's a beautiful light but the problem I encountered is that they don't tell you on their website that you must have a recessed electrical box to mount this on the outside of your home. It's a shame because most people have surface mounted boxes on the exterior of their house to mount security lights. I really love the Hue system and have many of their lights throughout my home and I was really hoping to expand them to the exterior of my house but unfortunately I will have to return this item. For those of you who have recessed boxes that you can mount them to I will say that it is not only attractive but it's well made and well worth the money.

It should be brighter, I always use it with 100% brightness. The shape of the light suggest a bright light. I am ok with the quality of fixture and was easy to install. It was easy to add to my other hue lights

Older videos of the product show that it included a waterproof box that mounted to the wall first, then the mounting box that is attached to the fixture would slide over this box completing a water tight compartment for the electrical connections. Without the first mounting box, water can easily get behind the fixture and short the wire connections. I called tech support thinking that the mounting box was simply missing from the shipment but they told me it is no longer provided. Its not a common box size so I was unable to purchase it elsewhere and so I returned the light. The only safe way to mount this light outside is if you are able to drill a hole to the interior of the house, feed the wires through that hole and seal the hole with caulk and then put an electrical box on the opposite side of the exterior wall and make the electrical connections inside the house. This method did not work in my situation and will probably not work for most people who do not have easy access to the other side of the wall.

Works Great - The best thing is that you can control the brightness. I did not want to light up my neighbors yard yet I still want to see if anyone is in my yard!
