USB-C connection
This monitor works fine with HDMI and Display ports. My problem is I cannot find a USB-C cable that is compatible with the monitor. I bought 4 different USB-C cables, all with display capabilities up to 4K and 8K but none of them was able to display. I do not know its a problem with the monitor or I need to get a specific USB-C cable.

Great size, awful blacks
I needed a monitor to pair with my older Philips 328B (a couple of years old, lower resolution), so thought this would be perfect. However side by side the difference is palpable, the old monitor has deep blacks and vibrant colour. This new one looks washed /out and pale in comparison. I've tried all the different colour settings, adjusted gamma, contrast and picture modes, but it doesn't come close. If this is your only monitor, and you're using it for work, it would be great, but for watching videos, or gaming it wont be the best choice.

Love the USB-C connection
The USB-C connection is great and how it charges my laptop. One less cord to connect to my laptop.

Great monitor but why doesn't the webcam work
The 242B monitor is really a good purchase, plenty of handy features to get the screen the way you want it. However you can't get the webcam to work with Windows so whats the point of it. I'm going to have to get ta separate webcam. Not happy about that.

Outstanding monitor
Part of my responsibility is to research computer equipment. While researching monitors, I discovered this Philips 346B1C. I purchased one for myself and tested it for several months. The monitor has a docking station with adequate ports, RJ45, and USB-C to charge my laptop. Our company is delighted with the product, and the monitor's demand increases daily. My only complaint is the lack of inventory. These are hard to come by, and the wait time can be months for delivery.

Excellent value
I purchase these by the dozen for my workplace. They are reliable and have a lot of functionality for the same price as less capable monitors. Philips is a quality brand I trust.

Excellent general purpose monitor
I bought this monitor to use with both a Mac computer and an older PC, and it works really well with both (the Mac via the HDMI input, the PC via the DVI input). The screen is excellent, and the monitor has numerous features such as power and light sensors, LowBlue mode, excellent colour gamut, good viewing angle, and adjustments for height, pivot, swivel and tilt. It can be used for gaming, but overall it has proved to be a great general purpose monitor and very good value for the price.

Had this monitor for a few years now
I have used this monitor for a few years for work MacBook Pro, and my gaming rigg (self built). Although I would like the KVM to auto switch between machines, I'm glad it doesn't completely automatically. If my Mac goes to sleep it will switch over to my MS gaming rigg. Like and dislike that. Took me a couple call when I first got it to understand how to make it work for me specific application, but it has done so flawlessly ever since. My Mac gets powered from the monitor and no need any other cord than the USB-C. I use this monitor for gaming. Guild Wars 2 runs great, everything runs great and looks clear. Blacks are dark and whites are bright. When playing FPS I still don't notice and difference but by specs the 4 ms refresh rate and 100 khz is slow by specs. I would give this a 5 stars and more than likely should, but going to ding it due to the latest specs for a monitor of this size.

Mostly incompatible with Mac and useless customer
Despite Philips stating everywhere this monitor is compatible with Max OSX most of the key features DO NOT work with Mac OSX Monterey. Customer support is most unhelpful and said we should contact Apple. After many email exchanges they sent link for Synaptics display software tool - assuming the USB and other ports use Synaptics - but the Synaptics toll does not recognise the display!! Ethernet port does not show up even when the Philips user manual states Philips customer "hotline" will provide a "clone tool".

Works as expected
The monitors were easy to assemble and set up with my PC. They didn't require as much space as I initially thought (my desk is 1400mm x 750mm) and fit that space comfortably. I was pleasantly surprise by the amount of height adjustment provided, considerably more than most I had seen/researched prior to buying. The dual HDMI inputs are a bonus, enabling me to attach my Telstra TV box, allowing the monitor to double as an extra TV screen. As with most monitors, accessibility to the cable inputs is a bit of a pain, and could do with some improvement - something for the engineers to look at going forward. Considering that probably the majority of these monitors are used on desks that back up to a wall, plugging in cables can be a guessing game. People are not going to be in a position to lie on their backs looking up at the bottom of the monitor to see what ports are where. In day to day use (up to 15 hours a day for me) these monitors do their job well displaying the content I'm browsing or working with and meet my requirements.

An excellent monitor for my MacBook Air M1
I gave this a four start rating instead of a five star rating simply because it took so long to locate the Philips USB-C to USB-C cable i needed to use it with my MacBook. The monitor was supplied with 4 different cables, none of which could be used. After two weeks of emails, Philips in Canada supplied me with the Full USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 5A CM-CM cable. Hopefully, the company now supply this cable because this monitor is just tremendous for the MacBook Air M1.

One of the best Ultra-wide monitors
At first 100 Hz, 4 ms refresh rate doesn't impress anyone. But this monitor has surpassed all my expectations. Crisp and clear display, a bunch of USB ports, built-in KVM for connecting two computers at the same time and sharing the keyboard/mouse, USB-C that delivers both power and act as display cable, built-in ethernet port and the ergonomics to tilt/swivel and adjust height of the screen. All these things make me a big fan of this monitor. And yes, it works well with Mac OS and Windows laptops.

great monitor that cleans up a lot of wire mess
I do like this monitor - so much in fact, after I bought one for my home office, I bought one (on my own dime) for my work office. The ability to plug in all my USB peripherals without needing a hub and the fact I can leave my power cord in the computer bag is amazing.

Good value but PIP will NOT work if USB-C is main
I really was drawn to this monitor to have my MacAir M1 plugged in via USB-C, using this monitor as a hub. Works well! Even Lan Cable included in HUB setup (few monitors do this) so far so good. BUT, if you like to add a HDMI device as second source (Raspberry Pi or another PC), that you can NOT(!) use the PIP/or side-by-side picture mode. Turns out, Philips buried this fact in the manual on page 13, there's a little matrix, showing certain combinations. And: USB-C ain't one! Only if you use DisplayPort as the main source, you can add USBC or HDMI as a PIP. If you use USBC as the main source (ahem: Macs!) you use DisplayPort or another USBC as a PIP. Seriously? Why oh why did you do this, Philips. You kind'a "defanged" an otherwise excellent monitor. Last point: the little buttons are horrible difficult to use, bottom right of display, another "Form over function" blunder. The monitor on/off button is right next to the OK button. Guess how often I accidentally switched off the display (it takes 20 seconds to wake up and do it's thing again once turned off) when I intended to press OK. Would I buy it again? I'm struggling, would have to seriously look at competitors...

Good monitor, but rough around the edges.
At its core, this is a good quality monitor. The image quality is good and the resolution is high. However, the claim that it is 'frameless' on 3 sides is misleading in my view. But for the price, it is a decent package for my primary use which is business. I bought this monitor for the USB-C connectivity which is excellent, meaning I can plug in my Macbook Pro with just a single cable, delivering power, video, audio and all other device connectivity. There are two key drawbacks to this product. Firstly, although it has built in speakers, the sound quality is so poor that they are unusable. The sound is akin to that of a mobile phone - much worse than my laptop speakers. Secondly, I was horrified by the product's packaging - full of non-recyclable plastic. Very disappointing from a well-known brand.

Pretty good for home office
I've been using the monitor for a couple of months and I'm pretty happy with it. USB hub with RJ-45 port works perfect for me and resulted in a very clean look. Display and camera is pretty good. Can't say the same about microphone and speakers unfortunately.

High Quality, ludicrously big display
Picture is great, no dead pixels and the USB hub works very well. Connected to a laptop and desktop simultaneously over USB-C and display port. Has USB-C pass through charging for the laptop so I don't need the power cable. Speakers are surprisingly good for a monitor. Display curve not as intrusive as I thought it would be.
