it does what it says
it's moisturizing, it's artificial fragrance free, it's calming... but it smells SO bad. only can be described as "rancid playdough". I did check the batch code, not expired, and newly opened. this one's not for me.

Gross!
This went on non-absorbing and it smells like a rancid bag of potato chips. It didn't do anything for my skin either thankfully, I only had a trial tube of it, but it is disgusting. In the trash it goes.

I had high hopes
Not a bad product but not great either, just had high hopes for someone with very dry chapped skin. I ended up only using it like 3 times thinking it would help my dry patches. It only irritated my skin more so I stopped using which is odd considering its suppose to restore the skin barrier. I'm using the oil cleanser too and it doesnt help much either. Maybe the brand just isnt for me! F24 with pale and sensative skin. Hope this helps.

Most amazing product for healing your skin barrier
Along with the serum from this line, anytime another products from a different brand messes up my skin, I always come back to this cream! It is on the thicker side so it is best to use at night but you WILL see amazing results! I personally like the consistency being on the thicker side especially for the creams that I use at night. Only warning is that it smells like playdough.

Disappointed
Bought this product having high hopes. Product has a strong cardboard/ paint smell. In my opinion the product is not worth the price.

The best!!
I have incredibly sensitive skin. Have tried all kinds of moisturizers and creams, including pretty high end ones, but they all ultimately made my face really red and irritated. This is the only cream on 10 years that i will put on my face gladly. My daughter helped me find it, and i am so grateful!!

Lovely Moisturizer!
Great as a night cream, calms my skin and soothes my redness and dry spots. Only comment would be that it's an interesting smell, almost like a wood smell.

Perioral Dermatitis Approved!
I struggle with perioral dermatitis breakouts every now and then and I have looked for so long for a skincare routine that helps. I used this moisturizer with the Peach & Lily barrier rescue serum, and HOLY MOLY. This truly fixed my skin. It restored my skin barrier and cleared up the rest of my irritation sooo fast. The smell is very clinical (bare, unscented) but thats what makes it perfect for perioral dermatitis or sensitive skin, because there's no scent or fragrance added that might irritate your skin.

Rescue is right!
My face has been in a constant state of irritation for months after constant traveling, and this is the product that finally calmed everything down! My acne is all but gone, and it's stopping any new bumps in their tracks before they have a chance to get worse. It also has noticeably calmed down my rosacea and general irritation. I primarily use this at night and I wake up in the morning with a clear face! Definitely buying this again.

Perfect for Sensitive skin!!
I needed a deeply moisturizing & gentle nighttime cream. This is absolutely amazing. I wanted something protective and soothing for my sensitive & eczema prone skin. Before I was using vanicream at night but it was too thick, too greasy, and clogged my pores. This moisturizer is some how the perfect viscosity, doesn't leave a layer of grease on me, & doesn't irritate my skin. I only had purging for a few days before my skin adjusted, which is the fastest I've finished purging. Because it's so expensive, I only use at night, but a little goes far. Why are the reviews so low?!

Bought it for my dad, it's healing his skin
My dad was given a super strong prescription treatment for some dark spots (from the derm lasting off some suspicious spots with a different texture from the rest of his face that happened to be old age spots). It was the highest concentration of hydroquinone (8%) I've heard of, plus 0. 05% trentinoin. I warned him that he needs to layer some moisturizer with it, knowing who I get my weak skin barrier and sensitive skin from…he didn't listen to me and his face developed a painful rash that peeled his skin and developed into small open wounds. I gave him some of my soothing products and advised him to use Vaseline only for a couple nights. And I ordered this cream after reading ingredients lists of several creams for a while. While I waited for this to arrive, I gave him my Avene Cicalfate cream. It hadn't helped my allergic reaction-induce rash but it's supposed to healing and gentle. He didn't love it and gave it back to me. Then this Rescue Party Barrier Comfirt Cream arrived, just in time. My dad says his face feels comfortable after he uses this. No stinging. So this is what he's using to heal his skin before restarting the treatment—slowly, with caution and acclimating his skin to it slowly and pairing it with protective creams like this. I'll be adding this to my arsenal of healing and soothing products to have on hand for my skin irritations and episodes.

Lifesaver!
I'm not a reviewer generally but this stuff has saved me! I was suffering from painful perioral dermatitis and this is the ONLY thing that helped clear it up!

Soothing and Hydrating
My skin tends to get reactive when I use my retinol every night or if the weather is too dry. I use this moisturizer to combat the irritation and redness. It calms within hours and feels soothing. The only thing I don't care for is the scent. It's fragrance free but the ingredients don't smell great. I wouldn't want added fragrance though since that would probably contribute to further irritation. Regardless, I do recommend this moisturizer.

STINGING
This stings for me at the beginning of application. It does calm my skin down eventually but not before the stinging. The amount for me is sufficient as Indont need a lot to get my whole face moisturized. It dries down good and glowy but not oily. Not sure if I would repurchase just because my skin is just super sensitive that the stinging is a bit much during the initial application. .

Doesn't seem good for dry barrier compromised skin
I dont have very senstive skin but i had a reaction to anothet product that caused my skin to become flaky and very dehydrated. Since this was advertised as something to restore skin barriers and comfort the skin, i busted it out. Boy, it doesn't comfort my skin at all. It makes my skin sting and red, while not being moisturizing. It also has a smell that smells as though it went bad…very plasticky smell that is heavy. I'll be using the rest of the product on my body as it does nothing for my skin and smells horrible.

The ONE for dehydrated skin
Let's get the smell out of the way: it actually reminds me of clay masks. But it's not like I can smell it more than 3 minutes after applying, so even if I didn't like it (I don't mind it), it wouldn't matter too much. More importantly, this stuff has SAVED my skin. I had tried so many creams and yet every time I would put on makeup, the little dry flakey patches on my forehead would be highlighted. After using this only a couple of times I noticed I stopped seeing those patches. It feels really thick and soothing but it doesn't sit annoyingly on top of my skin. I've used it after IPL and felt not even a ghost of a sting. It helped me heal quickly after spending too long in the sun. Seriously if you have dehydrated skin issues or need a bump of soothing, gentle care this is your cream. If I had a gripe I guess it would be that I wish it came with more product for the price. But it lasts longer for me because I only use it at night.

Great texture but it broke me out
I purchased this when looking for a creamy moisturizer to help battle the dry winter air. I do like the texture but it did make me break out. It does smell a tad funky - reminded me of rancid oil similar to expired essential oils or nuts - but it's not too strong to be a deal breaker. I'll use it as a hand cream to finish the jar.
