Size/Fit isn't guaranteed

I have an opening that is 36" wide. As you can see, this says it fits 30"-41", but I found this to be unfortunately misleading. Not every doorway in this width range will fit this gate. With the biggest expander afixed to the gate, it was too big to fit within the 36" because of the baseboards. With the smaller expander fixed to the gate along with the extra poles included, it was still too small to fit within the opening, with the screw out holder bumper things being stretched too far from the iron gate. In the end, I dropped this 37 lbs gate on my foot and had to disassemble and haul it back into target whilst limping and balancing it atop a cart to return it. Sadly.
