would not stay together
This product was a huge disappointment! I purchased this for my 16 pound dog who had just recovered from knee surgery. Unfortunately, the stairs would not stay together no matter what I tried, they continued to collapse. The screws slipped in and out of the pre-drilled holes. I ended upsing very strong glue on each seam to get the stairs to stay together. Even when I did that, the step part that the animal stands on, was still loose. My dog was terrified and shaky because of the wiggle factor. I should have returned it immediately, but did not think I could once I added the glue. Do not waste your money on this!

Love these Stairs.
I have three dogs, 10 lb. Havanese, 10 lb. Chihuahua mix, and a 20 lb. French Bulldog. They have 3 sets of these steps. This is the ONLY type they will use. I bought another type and they refuse to use it they act afraid of it. I think the reason is these Solvit Steps have sides to each step and prevent mishaps and stepping off sideways causing a fall. The sides protect their feet and keep them on target going up and down rapidly or in the night getting on and off my bed. They would not be good for a heavy dog I feel over 40 lbs. but for little guys are perfect. Super easy to unfold from the box NO putting together and best of all Made In America so you are supporting American Jobs.

THIS IS GREAT!!
I have a lab/shepard mix that had ACL surgery and he really never healed correctly. I purchased the hard tan plastic stairs that are used for the bed and car, he was terrified of it and it was not sturdy enough for his weight. This item is sooooo amazing. I just got it. Unboxed it, unfolded it and put it up to the door to my jeep and it fits perfectly. Its wide enough and made so strong. It also has carpet on the steps to keep him from slipping. It's an awesome product. Would buy again.
