[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have typically had good luck with these beds (I have three), but for whatever reason the cowhide covers are shedding in chunks and I am worrying about bald spots in the beds. I initially thought maybe it was loose fuzz but I’ve had these on for almost two weeks and it’s only gotten worse. I love the looks but the tiger and polar bear covers I used previously never shed anything like these.

My dog loves this bed. However, I feel like the cover has gone down in quality. My first one was purchased about 2 years ago, and lasted more than a full year of daily use (by my dog) before the fur starts coming out from the bed. This new cover started "shedding" almost immediately and I would find balls of brown fur everywhere in the house.

Washed the cover many times and made the mistake of putting it in the dryer. It was beginning to crumble. I was delighted to discover that a new cover could be purchased separately! So so happy to have a new cover for the bed which is absolutely still in great shape!
