Sand typically has a density of about 100 pounds per cubic foot. Multiplying the volume of the sandbox by the density of the sand: 4.72 cubic feet * 100 pounds/cubic foot = 472 pounds. Please note that this is an estimate and the actual weight of the sand may vary depending on factors such as sand moisture and compaction.

Cheap and bad quality

Was excited for the sanbox and got is an Easter gift for my son. Less than 3 weeks after setting it up, had to return it because the wood was breaking off at every joint and splitering all around. The wood is very soft and not durable. Save yourself the hassle and order something else. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Love it!!

I ordered this for my nephew. It was easy to assemble and is absolutely adorable!! It looks exactly as it does in the pics and functions as promised. He has played in the sand box everyday since receiving it. I am more than happy with the purchase. If you are considering it, DON'T HESITATE

Wood was dried out and very brittle. When putting together with screws it would splinter and large chunks would come off

This thing was easy to assemble and came with all parts. The grand kids (3 and 5 years old) loved it. I like the fact it blocks the sun (I modified mine to tilt.) and has a lid to keep cats and other critters out.

Nice sandbox.

Would be better if the top was hard plastic. The tarp that comes with it is kinda wimpy collects rain water.

Kids love it

The only complaint I have is with the bolts holding the canopy up. They have to be constantly retightened. I??m going to just buy another bolt to put under it. Maybe between the two it will stay up? Idk. Wish me luck! Oh... we used 5 bags of sand and the kids love it!!

Slightly disappointed

First impressions are this sandpit is worth no more than 3 stars. It would be 2 if I'd have paid full price. There is a lack of quality control on the parts. Two holes were missing in the upright for the roof. Multiple parts are split or splintered some areas have been filled with filler and left unsanded. Assembly is harder than it should be as there are no pilot holes drilled. Description states that this is made from cedar and as such does not need treating, only time will tell here but it looks like this has been made from a cheaper whitewood such as pine.
