It's just OK

It's a decent covering but it gets stuck multiple times when trying to open and close it. Also if you are short like me, 5'2", have a step stool handy to reach the short ribbon that you grab to move it. I'm going to have to lengthen it.

Really great pergola for our yard

As some have said the instructions arenﾡﾯt super specific but if youﾡﾯve ever built LEGO off the included diagram you can do this. Do yourself a favor and use some kind of drill or impact driver and not the included allen wrenches and get at least two buddies to help put it up.That said, once itﾡﾯs assembled and anchored into concrete itﾡﾯs absolutely solid and we couldnﾡﾯt be more thrilled! The retractable shade is great and if you pull iit closed when not in use it should stand up to the rain and wind for years to come !

Nice looking & fairly easy to assemble.I have completed the assembly with base facing the sky, if you do this way, make sure you have 3 or 4 people at the end to flip it to standing position, was worried for stability so i filled them with small pebbles i gathered from my yard : ). Now they feel sturdy!

For the price you cant beat it.

this 10 x 13 pergola was perfect fit for our raised deck. I was continually amazing at the engineering that went into designing it. My only complaint is the "instructions" were far from adequate- you have to study the drawings in order to get this together the right way. There are no written instructions to accompany the drawings. We had to "re-build 3 times to get it right.

Good value and standing strong

Definitely a good pergola for the money. So long as you follow the instructions closely, this goes together quite easily (I did reverse a couple of pieces early in the process when I just assumed where something went). Still a solid purchase, it covers my seating area perfectly, and a good value as opposed to spending thousands to build something similar for shade cover.If you are not going to bolt this down (I don't want to screw into my deck boards), then try placing the legs in flower pots and filling them with stones. This will keep it in place unless you are living in a hurricane prone area. It was fairly windy here last week, and it didn't move even without any weights.

Have at least2 friends to help, per the less than desirable instructions.

It works great, was pretty easy to assemble, get your own tools to use, not the supplied crap. We had it assembled and squared up in 4 and 1/2 hours. It seems to block out about 95% of the sun. It's light weight, but light weight comes with thin steel segments that feel flimsy and weak, but it's only designed to hold up a 10X13 piece of fabric which it does quite well

Great purchase. No regrets

I love hosting barbecue parties and the weather is super hot where I am I definitely had to get some shades in the hot weather. I had gotten this one since I thought it was selling for a good price and I have to say it's great. The thing doesn't blow away and it's super sturdy.

Perfect for us and a reasonable price.

This was a perfect addition to our RV in Arizona. When it gets windy we just lift the canvas up,? If it gets super windy (25+ mph) it is a quick job to simply remove the canvas.

Happy Camper!!

I love my Pergola!!!? The package came on time without damage. The instructions were Puzzling! Thank goodness my brother and nephew were able to do some great guessing along with process of elimination to complete the construction of this beautiful backyard centerpiece.

Product looks as shown. Heavy and sturdy. A bit difficult to build, follow images on instructions exactly as shown. Suggest to use a power drill or screw driver with good bits to avoid stripping. Was able to build this with my 14 yr old in 3 hrs
