Hello, White Brite is uniquely formulated to whiten and brighten white clothes more safely and effectively than bleach or oxi. It removes yellowing and rust stains caused by iron and other water impurities, eliminates stubborn red clay stains, and reverses unfortunate color bleeds. We don’t advise using on a wedding dress for the reasons you described.

Generally an awesome product..
I have not had troubles before when using this product. Just used it on a pair of shoes (my son's expensive ones. yikes!) It left blue specks on it. I don't understand where it would have come from.

Ruined vintage tablecloth’s that can’t be replaced
I dissolved it in my washer as instructed and put two vintage tablecloths that were yellowed from age into the water. I agitated the water by hand and when I pulled them out part way to check them, there were pinkish violet blotches on the fabric where nothing was before. It wasn’t food residue because they were washed prior to whitening. I’m sick that they were ruined. I’m so glad I didn’t use it on my quilts. This is the second time it’s ruined fabric. If someone wants a product that takes the yellow out without damaging fabric then try Restoration. I learned the hard way and will never use anything else.

Our Hotel Couldn’t Function Without it!
I’m the operation manager of a small boutique hotel. Being as the property contains only 9 rooms, we wash all bed linens in house. This product is an absolute must for us; it keeps all our fitted sheets, flat sheets and pillowcases looking bright/brilliant white without damaging the fabric in the process. Not only does it remove any “dinge” but it also helps in general stain removal. This product not only greatly extends the life of all our bed linens, but it’s incredibly simple to use and extremely affordable!

Softball mom's dream come true!
My daughter's softball team Where's all white sometimes. A softball mom's nightmare! I used to spend forever scrubbing her uniform before washing. Now I just rinse it and soak it in the tub with White Bright (usually overnight) and washing normal and the uniform is super clean again! No scrubbing necessary! Even on 2 week old stains!

Best Solution for red clay
I use this product on my son's white baseball pants. Nothing works better! I soaked them for about 1 hour and wash them regularly. The pants came out perfect with no scrubbing!

Removed orange sweat stains! Brightened whites!
I bought this after reading about it online. My son had some t-shirts that had turned orange due to a combination of sweat, sunscreen and hard water. This is the only thing that worked! Even after the stain had set it was still able to remove the stain! Additionally it brightened all our white shirts and I didn't have any issues with color bleading. Highly recommend!

Terrible!
I used this exactly as directed on white softball pants and it turned parts of them a silvery grey color!

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear of your experience. White Brite is formulated with a laundry whitener to remove color. From the details of your post, the silver grey color could be the result of White Brite pulling non-colorfast dye from a tag, logo, emblem, stripe found on the pants. Re-soaking the pants in White Brite should help to remove the color bleed. Your comments are very important to us and will be included as part of our historical database.
