Q: I see a lot of comments from several months ago that the boots are almost impossible to get on. Has this design flaw been fixed?

A: This has not been fixed, as of 11/15/2024. We tried so hard to get the boots on an American Girl doll and couldn’t get them on at all (we were really afraid that with how hard we were trying something was going to give/break). They will go on the Target brand (Our Generation) but the AG’s lower leg, ankle, and foot when held next to OG isn’t as narrow, which makes sense why the boots don’t fit. Shame because that was a main reason for buying this outfit!

submitted bymhammack - 1 year agoA: Hi eschip. The boots fit on the Our Generation dolls and work best when a sock or pair of tights are used. They are a tight fit and works to keep the boots on the feet of the Our generation dolls. Please note that the boots may not fit other brands of dolls, as their feet are a different size and not compatible. The Battat Team

A: Hi Whitney. The Our Generation dolls are 18" dolls and the outfits are made to fit them. The Barbie brand of dolls are much smaller and will not fit the OG clothing. The Battat Team

As you may know, all OG outfits are designed and produced specifically for OG dolls, although they can be worn by other 18" dolls. One trick you may want to try is to cut a slit in the back of the boots. This won't spoil the look of the boot, but will allow you to put them on and take them off easily. Sincerely, Team Battat

cute and fashionable outfits... complete with nightmare boots that will cause grown adults to curse and sweat while attempting to put on. These are literally impossible for a child to use and a miserable experience for an adult. Save yourself the misery.

Many of them will fit other 18" doll brands, but we can only guarantee that they will fit with OG dolls. A little trick you might try for the boots is to cut a slit in the back of the boot.
