A: The mounting plate is not included in the toy. My daughter is very sad and disappointed. (It's not that it was a missing part - Our Generation simply does not include the mounting plate.)

Q: Is a mounting plate something I can buy if the kids bike doesn't have one? Or is a mounting plate something that is already built into the bicycle? So if the bike doesn't have a mounting plate, I would have to buy one that does in order to use this?

Weird mount
Doesn’t mount to any of our bikes :-/ Even if it did have a plate to mount to I don’t think I would want to put a hole in a bike just for a doll seat

It’s super cute and I love that it comes with a helmet. It was my fault I didn’t read the reviews and product description. Couldn’t use due to the lack of a mounting plate. I don’t know that it would be possible, but it would be great if it could be designed as more of a universal fit. I do see where reviews say it’s not the sturdiest, which I could see from the design of it.

This seat is adorable but didn’t work for my daughter’s bike. I didn’t think about it before purchasing but she has a banana seat bike so the bracket that holds the seat needs to be longer in order to attach to her bike. We can’t use it because of this. Maybe selling a specific bracket for those type of bikes would be nice.

The bike seat is a super cute idea but we’ve had some trouble keeping ours on the bike and the doll from wobbling around/falling out. We still use it but wish it was more stable/sturdy.

Not well built and wont stay on.
The brace support isn’t balanced well, so when a doll is in the seat, it tips to one side. The brace arm is also not quite long enough so the seat doesn’t sit where it should. Additionally, the latch from the seat to the brace is not secure, so the seat falls off with vibration of riding the bike, damaging dolls sitting in it.
