Great back to school read
I got this book when my twins started kindergarten. It’s such a fun and pleasant read. It gives the whole family comfort in knowing that school is an extend part of our family. This is always a favorite to read. The illustrations look are so beautiful and colorful. It also looks great on our book shelf display.

Confusing
I would not recommend this book or reach it to my own children. Sure it starts off as cute maybe then by the end tells children that teachers and classmates are there family since they spend so much time at school. I hardly think that qualifies someone to be apart of your family. This isn’t something I’d encourage as I’ve seen this book be used to confuses children who who there family is sadly.

Perfect gift for a teacher
I ordered two of these for each of my sons’ teachers for Christmas. I got them in a little early and couldn’t wait so I ended up sending them for Thanksgiving instead, with a personalized “we are thankful for you” note inside the covers. They were a HUGE hit. A teacher must have!
Quickly became one of my favorite children’s books! And I’m pretty particular because my thesis was on this topic. Being a family is something I talk a lot about with my own students and this book perfectly explains the importance of our little class family. I now buy this book for all my teacher friends!
