Definitely a product to re-buy! Be careful with buying online though; I recently purchased it online via Ulta and although the actual product is wonderful, the nozzle did pop off immediately. Would still recommend it for GREAT hold/anti-humidity!!

It's not bad but I don't like it as well for my fine, curly (3A-3C) hair as I like Maui Moisture gel. My curls don't clump as well with this product but it does keep the TN humidity at bay.

This gel was like expensive water like another reviewer stated! for context I have 3C with some 3B curls and before I could finish styling my hair before I started diffusing, I could see the frizz starting to pop up more than usual this gel was a complete disappointment! unfortunately I will be returning it. it's very thin and liquidy and I should've known that it would not have been enough hold for my curls my hair is very frizzy and requires a strong Hold gel! The fact that they advertise this gel as a strong hold is disappointing and is simply not true! nothing so far has topped my inshower styler by CS and I will be going back to that!

would recommend for 3A/3B curls, loved the definition of my curls, didn't leave as strong of a cast i usual get from strong hold gels, but also used a curl cream before. loved how nice it felt when applying it, works well with most creams and foams!

The best gel I have found for my permed hair. I have very thick coarse hair and struggle with frizz and humidity. This gel has been so great in controlling frizz and helping in high humidity. This has become a staple in my hair routine.

It took the frizz out of my hair and that was my goal. I haven't tried the shampoo or conditioner.

I have very long, thick curly natural coarse hair. I was born with this hair and often hated it growing up always want to straighten my hair. We always want what we don't have now at the age of 44. I have basically tried every product since I was 12 years old from gels to moose's to curl creams. After a lot of time spent researching products and reading reviews spending a lot of money on wasted products that I bought and didn't hold up to their standards or specifications. I read a lot about this product, but for some reason, never decided to purchase it until just recently I was at my end I had no more products to try After I got out of the shower. I lightly towel. Dried my hair sprayed leave in conditioner. Applied a small amount of the pattern cream leave in conditioner. I then used this gel and let my hair air dry once fully dry. My curls were smooth, shiny non-frizzy and beautiful. This gel does create a cast, but I do not mind that if you don't like a cast, you can simply use some serum and scrunch the cast out this can also be used with a diffuser. I can't believe the countless hours money time and products that I've wasted. I'm so glad I finally found the product that makes my hair feel and look beautiful soft no frizz long shiny this child does not wear your hair down either.

For many years, I was very reluctant about purchasing this gel due to the expense, however after many trials and tribulations from drugstore brands to expensive brands, I never was able to achieve the curls that I wanted to there was always frizz and untamed hair. My curls were never defined. This gel is the absolute best I did my hair. It took very little product. My curls had no frizz immediately we went out in the hot human rainy Florida weather and my girl stayed perfect they are soft with a slight gel cast shiny zero frizz. I have never felt so beautiful and I didn't have to use several different products so in the long run, this actually saves you money. I got out of the shower put some leave in spray conditioner and put the gel in my hair. If I wanted to break the cast, I would've added some Serum, but I didn't want to and my hair looks absolutely beautiful. It's well worth the money ladies don't hesitate just do it. You'll save money in the long run on so many other products.

My friend recommended this product to me to start my cutly hair journey and well here are my thoughts. I tried my friends product for three days and I just don't like it. This gel is not for sensitive skin/scalp but I believe it is for fine or medium hair shaft hair and medium porosity hair. The gel is very, very drying at best. Day two is terrible for refresh because it doesn't hold a curl and even after wearing a silk bonnet, it causes frizz. So, to say it has an excellent humidity control and hold to me is a lie at best. It causez a lot of frizz and the more you put on the harder the cast. Its been told by lots of bloggers that is the gel is too thick. You should cut it with like water out of a spray bottle and that's what I did but come to find out that the gel first ingredient or second is water so you're cutting water with water but the jelly is so thick and you don't wanna leave clump in your hair. You don't really have a choice. The gel just the right amount or too much causes breakage. I tried but just can't deal with the results to love them especially in the South with the hot geat temperatures here and I need to be happy too. Onto the next!

This does what it's supposed to. It has great definition. It's not too strong of a hold so it won't be dry and crunchy. It has a medium hold, in my opinion, where the curls have definition but they are soft. I'd buy it again!

Meant to add pictures to my previous review but here they are. Great gel. Just ordered more as it was on sale. Don't mind the frizz as I had to diffuse with a fan on in very hot California & went into cup diffuse almost immediately to speed up the drying. Low porosity: Shampoo every 3-4 days, condition + detangle. Let the conditioner sit for a few minutes for moisture. Rinse thoroughly and add leave in. Section hair and add heat protectant. Add styling gel as a base while raking with fingers. Add ouidad gel with praying hands and then crunch it in. Diffuse with Dyson low heat/speed with head upside down, side to side until a cast forms. Start cup diffusing until fully dry. Pictures included are 2nd hair day. Barely had to do any touch ups.

I loved this product until I tested and figured out that it was the cause of mysterious gray spots appearing on clean clothes after the laundry. This is because it contains Polyquats, which bind to clothing, invisibly, then bind to dye and dirt in the wash, creating PERMANENT visible stains. Once bound to clothing, they can't be removed and as soon as you wash the garment, it will stain. This has ruined numerous articles of clothing in the past few months.

I have been using this product for years. Forgot to pack it on a recent trip from MD to CT - so put in Ulta near me in google on my iPhone while traveling (I was not the one driving). We took a detour to the closest Ulta that was open until 9pm and picked up the travel size. So relieved I was able to do that!

This gel is a game changer for my curls in the hot humid summer months in Michigan! I need a product with a bit more hold or my curls don't set correctly. This product gives a strong hold without crunch, great slip for styling and keeps frizz under control. No flakes or residue, just soft and shiny curls! I love it and would highly recommend. I will be buying this again.

I have fine, wavy/curly hair besides it having a tendency to be frizzy. This gel gives me firm, lasting hold without stiffness and it really comes through in refreshing in the days following. Excellent product for my hair!

This gel has a very subtle, nice scent. It provided just enough hold/cast on days where I don't need much. I will definitely alternate this one with another (stronger hold) gel depending on what I am doing. Keeper!

Leaves my hair natural looking without alot of crunch and holds good

I use this after putting on DesignMe's curl balm, and the results are amazing! I've always struggled with my low-porosity hair and living in a very humid/hot area. I've been trying out products for over a year to fight frizz, and I've found the one!

I had been scared to try this because I'd read how strong the hold is, but I didn't wanna deal with another Alabama summer's humidity, so I got the travel size. This stuff…oh my…no frizz, strong hold, and major definition for at least 12 hours. I am SOLD! No flakes, no weighing my hair down (I have fine 2C waves). I apply mousse first to soaking wet hair, then apply this, scrunch, and diffuse. I don't normally use a leave-in, but I did with this (as I do with any gel).
