The Balsam and Cedar candle is very nice. I am a fan of lavender and balsam pine scents. This candle in Balsam Cedar is very pleasant and not too strong or over powering. Trim the wick prior to every burning to limit smoke offset. I don't think you will be disappointed with this candle's gentle fragrance.

Meh, not very fragrant.
Yankee candles seem to be hit or miss these days. Back in the day you could count on a yankee candle to have great noticeable fragrance, not so consistent anymore. The one smells nice for sure, but doesn’t really smell enough to scent a room.

I just love the Macintosh scent! I like food scents and not perfumey or floral scents as they bother my allergies. This is a crisp, fruity smell that doesn't include a cinnamon smell. I also tried the vanilla cupcake scent and it is a sugary vanilla smell, pretty close to the real thing. These large candles also last a long time.
