Q: I currently have acrylic nails trying to grow out some ripped nails that were very short. Can you apply this under your nail and at the cuticle? Or does it need to be applied over the entire Nail.

A: Hi! This nail strengthener conditions your nail to help heal and improve the surface. It works best when applying to bare nails (in place of Nail Primer). Use this first and follow with polish. As an intensive treatment, apply daily to bare nails until desired strength is achieved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used all of the products in the sequence per instructions. . . hardener, color, top coat. I allowed plenty of time to dry and didn't expose to water for over 6 hours. And the color chipped in less than 2 days.

Bad packing job or defective product.
Thankfully I did not pay for this as it came with my last purchase. When I received my package in the mail I was greeted by a strong chemical almost acrylic monomer scent and the top plastic on the lid of this being melted and gummy and gooey, I'm able to press on it. Some spilled out when I squeezed the top and opened it. Not sure if it was just the packing being not in a box secure or a defective batch that basically ate through the plastic.

Quick, noticeable results!
After just a few applications over 2 weeks my nails are noticeably stronger and less brittle. I’m prone to peeling/separating on the tips of my nails and after just a few applications, Nail Strengthener has improved the overall consistency and health of my nails.

I have been using Olive & June's Nail Strengthener for over a year now every single time I paint my nails and I can't say enough good things about it! Without the strengthener my nails are very brittle and flexible, but after painting this on before my other layers of polish and top coat my nails are super strong! I can definitely tell the difference when my polish starts wearing off because my nails get flexible and brittle again. This is a must have as a base layer!
