I’ve been feeding my small-breed dog the Nutro Ultra Chicken, Lamb & Salmon Protein Trio for awhile now, and I’ve seen such a positive difference. The kibble size is perfect for his tiny mouth, and he loves the flavor—he actually gets excited at mealtime, which wasn’t always the case with other brands. What really sold me is the quality of the ingredients. Real chicken is the first ingredient, and I love that it’s free of by-product meals, corn, wheat, and soy. It also has added vitamins and nutrients like omega fatty acids for his coat, and I’ve noticed he’s shedding less and looking shinier. His digestion has been great on this food—no upset stomach, and his energy levels are solid. I also like the smaller 3.5 lb bag because it stays fresh and is easy to store. It’s a little more expensive than basic brands, but honestly, the quality makes it worth every penny. My dog is happy, healthy, and thriving on it, so I’ll definitely keep buying it.

We had been using another premium brand but my dog would pick out the bits he didn't like and only eat certain shapes. When I give him Nutro he gets excited and finishes it all. I will definitely continue to buy this. I like that it is made for smaller breed dogs and the ingredients seem better than what I was previously feeding my dog.

As a dog mom, I love that this dog food has great ingredients including vitamins, fruits, and veggies though I am not a fan of chicken meal. Three proteins are in the recipe so I know my pups are getting the meat that they need to be healthy and support their energy. Overall, this is a solid dog food. Pro tip- cut your bag at an angle for a built in pour spout.
