This rug is beautiful, I was thrilled at how it looked in our living room. Until I noticed a manufacturer flaw. I probably should send it back and have a replacement sent, but imagine it will be a hassle. If anyone in customer service sees this review and contacts me regarding a replacement, I would happily change my review.

We replaced a very expensive old oriental rug that was starting To fall apart with this thinking it would be a temporary solution until we could find something better. Upon receiving the rug and putting it down in the room there is no need to replace it, it’s perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second rosette medallion rug from Rugs USA. The last one I had for about 4 years, but with dogs and heavy foot traffic I wanted to replace it without having to look for something different, as rugs are very hard to purchase online. This rug came folded, which I did not like. It has some creases and ripples that I'm hoping will dissipate in time. It is also larger than listed. My other rug was exactly 9x12. This rug is larger. On the rug itself it states that it is 8'10" x 13. It is actually 9'x 12'11". Either way, it is larger than the 9x12 listed on the website. I think rug companies need to take better care to state the dimensions correctly as this is a huge deal if you are trying to fit a rug to a particular space. Luckily it still works for me, or I would have to return it and that's a huge hassle. Overall I like the rug, but ruggs should be rolled and not folded.

How do I love this 5x8 Rosette Medallion rug in Brown? Let me count the ways... 1) The colors are exactly as pictured. I wanted something for my palette of gold, rust and sage, and this is it! The creamy background sets off the colors so as to appreciate them but keep the overall effect soft, not harsh. Comforting earth tones, nothing artificial or glaring. 2) The very short cut pile is yes, soft to walk on, but esp.-- not overly cheesy and traditional (not too perfect or precious). It's the only cut pile rug I own, and it blends perfectly with my other more rustic indoor/outdoor rugs. 3) It's 100% polypropylene and pet friendly. The only type I'll have in my house with cats. 4) The original image is nicely translated into an affordable version. Of course, these are all digital reprints nowadays; but the image doesn't strike me as digital at all. The perimeter is perfect; not pixelated but not blurry or indistinct or washed out. The center medallion is lovely with good detail, yet there is some "vintage" feel to the design. It's not faded, but not exact. 5) Did I mention the colors? My project is to get the "ugly" out of my kitchen. I really wanted a touch of sage, so that I can go in a sage direction if that works ultimately. This rug may have gray detail, vs. sage. But color is relative, and there are so many warm rusty-reddish brown tones (I think of "cinnamon" whenever I see it), that the "gray" really looks like sage. I'm sure you could use it if your palette had gray and no sage. Just STUNNING. My ugly kitchen is now GOING somewhere. Absolutely recommended.
