While it’s a great idea, I wish it had a side lever to pull instead of the top spray mechanism. It becomes very difficult to spray a lot and accurately into your hair (especially with wet hands), making it less effective. I’m sure if I could get the right amount in my hair I’d see its hold, but it gave a very weak hold because of that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Defining Spray Gel hoping it would help define my curls, but unfortunately, it didn’t give me the results I was looking for on my extra coarse hair. While the product smells amazing and feels lightweight, it just didn’t have enough hold or moisture to bring out or maintain my curl pattern. My hair felt soft afterward, but the curls didn’t form or last. That being said, I think this product would work really well for those with a looser or softer curl texture — like wavy hair or type 2–3 curls. The spray formula makes it easy to apply evenly without buildup, and it leaves a nice, natural finish for lighter textures. ⭐ Pros: • Smells great and feels lightweight • Easy-to-apply spray formula • Leaves hair soft without crunchiness • Ideal for looser or wavier curls 💭 Final Thoughts: If you have extra coarse or tightly coiled hair, this may not give the definition or hold you need. But if your curls are softer or looser, the Curl Talk Defining Spray Gel could be a perfect fit for light, touchable curl definition.

I actually like the smell, but this has no hold. Many have recommended this line and I purchased shampoo, conditioner, cream, gel, spray gel, hairspray, and mousse. I've played around with different combinations, but I hate my hair every time. I'll keep the shampoo & conditioner and hairspray, but the rest of the styling products do nothing for my hair and I have less curl using them so I'll be returning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried this a few times now in my 3c/4a hair. I apply it in damp brushed hair and crunch it up into my curls, then let air dry. Compared to the other products I use in my hair, it just doesn't do much for me. Creates nice light hold but doesn't help with frizz, or maintaining my style throughout the day. Great for it I just need something fast to throw in and go. I will use all of it up, but it probably wouldn't be a second purchase. THE PERICE THOUGH. Great. Love it. I love luxury products but its not always an option.

Another fabulous product that is not available in my area! This spray gel does a wonderful job on any lazy curls I have. I use this with the level 5 gel and my curls look amazing!!! I highly recommend this product! My only issue is I don’t have access at local stores, I have to order online. I don’t mind, but wish it was offered in my area!

It didn’t blow me away compared to similar products, but the price is better than the similar products- so I would buy this over them. My hair wasn’t too crunchy (just don’t use too much product!) & looked cute!
