Q: How much weight can this item hold. I was thinking about using this for a brass statue which weighs about 70 pounds.

I'm surprised by the glowing reviews. This looks and feels like cheap plastic, to me. It's really tiny, too - I guess I should have read the measurements more closely; that's on me.

Quality control issue.
Design of the table is nice but mine arrived with a chip on one side. It would have been nice if it was finished on the bottom so that it could be turned upside-down. Since it is a heavy piece, I don’t know how I will be able to return it.

I ordered this side table for my nursery and it is perfect! The modern shape combined with the rustic finish was exactly what I was looking for. There is no assembly and the item came ready to use out of the box. The picture and description match the item perfectly. The whitewash finish is nice and I do not feel the wood will splinter (safe for a kids room). Great item!
