They do provide some light filter and would be a good option for someone wanting some natural light from outside but not full on. They would be a definite buy. I unfortunately had to take them down immediately after testing them to see how they looked. I am a 3rd shifter and they didn't provide the level of blackout I need including in my living room area to help me slowly wind down at 9:30 am.
