Q: Can I leave this on for a few hours? Also has anyone used this with acne prone skin? Most face creams causes me to have zits but I think that has to do with most face creams are really greasy

What a shame
Both my daughter and I have been using the product for 15 years. It was absolutely perfect. Now it’s rubbish. Its formula leaves our skin sticky and doesn’t moisturise at all. We will definitely not be using this anymore and will now find a new brand.

I have been using this product for over 20 years. I used the new formula for the first time last week. I didn't know the formula changed until I tried it for the first time and read the reviews. This new formula is thinner, greasy, and has a smell to it. This new formula doesn't work for me.I know have to look for a new brand.

Never ttied tge old formula but this new formula is PERFECT!
I absolutely love this lotion! I never tried the old formula that everyone is talking about but this current formula absolutely work for my combo skin. It leaves my skin hydrated but without that heavy film feeling some Nivea creams have. I get no breakouts and it’s just the right balance. I also started using it on my arms and upper arms and it’s worked wonderfully. A little goes a long way without leaving it feeling heavy! I will absolutely continue to buy this lotion!

Like most people I have a very busy life. One thing that was easy was Nivea soft. The new vegan formula is truly awful. It doesn't absorb at all is waxy and sticky. Now I have to find a new moisturiser so a lot of research needed. I'm deeply disappointed as this is unusable

Following in the footsteps of my Nana, I have used Nivea Soft (a fabulous product) for many years. It always left my skin feeling hydrated. Unfortunately I am now going to have to look for an alternative product. The new vegan formula does not leave skin feeling hydrated, I found the opposite. Very disappointed

This is an American recipe! American Mineral oil was added! That is one big reason your skin "breaks out"!
This is an “American” recipe. Mineral oil was added in USA to make it cheaper to make. European version has NO mineral oil because I used it in Europe. (Unless the European version has changed now!) This is One Big reason your skin to breaks out. Mineral oil is petroleum based! In other words…rubbing car oil on your face.

I was so happy to have finally found a product that worked for my face, and then of course it got changed. This stuff is more like a gel than a cream, it doesn't work nearly as well, and irritates my skin like crazy. So bummed when I realized immediately after opening a new container. I want the old one back!

I've been using nivea almost exclusively for 40 years. I am so disappointed they changed the formula. It is sticky and makes my skin feel dry and it does not work at all with my foundation. It creates these clumpy sticky foundation balls. Sadly I will have to look for a new daily moisturizer now. The new formula is horrible. Please bring back the original formula!!!

New formula awful, causes bad skin reactions
I've used Nivea Soft for decades. I have sensitive skin and this has been wonderful. However, they changed the formula. I still had a "stockpile" of the old formula because I stock up when it's on sale. I just used the last of that and opened a new jar and immediately knew something was wrong. I started comparing ingredients and they were very different. I used it, because it's all I had, and it feels yucky, and my skin had a bad reaction (red, itchy). I'm in a bind because I'm about to travel and have no way to find a new body cream tonight! I Googled this and discovered the change and read over and over that many people are having problems with the new "vegan" formula. Some people have had horrible skin reactions. "More naturally derived" and "vegan" do not mean better or good. WHY DID THEY CHANGE THIS!? They could have created a new vegan product that some folks might prefer, and let others keep using the old formula. From what I can see, most long-term Nivea Soft customers hate the new formula and many cannot use it at all, like me.

After using the original Nivea Soft for 20 plus years i am so disappointed in the new vegan version. i think most people like myself will probably buy this by mistake due to the small vegan symbol and then never buy again. You should offer two versions the original and the vegan one not just replace it you have ruined a perfectly good product and will be losing a lot of long term customers as a result. My skin feels awful now.

Out of many creams I tried this was the best one for cost and moisture. I have on subscription order! This new vegan formula is terrible, it's lumpy, it's not soft, it doesn't retain moisture and worse of all, I now need to go through the agonising and exspensive process of finding a replacement moisturiser that balances water and oil content as excellently as your previous formula did! "Don't fix what ain't broke!" Please find another way to help the environment, none of us want to live on a dead planet, but we also want to live comfortably against the elements comfortable in our own skin. I saw many other disappointed reviews over this formula, please don't lose this line, it's be so sad to see another good company go into administration.

Never tried the old formula but love this new formula a lot!
I hardly ever write reviews but wanted to balance out the negative reviews on this. I was hesitant to purchase because of all the negative reviews about the formula change. I never tried the old formula so I decided to just try this new formula for myself and I'm really glad I did. Have no idea what the old formula was like, but this one is beautiful. Spreads easily, actually moisturizes skin and makes it soft, doesn't just sit on skin, and seems to have the perfect balance between hydration and moisture. My skin looks and feels good and looks glowy but not in a "glass skin I just put on a lot of skincare" kind of way, but just healthy. And a plus for me is that it doesn't have niacinamide or hyaluronic acid in it because that is in soooooo many things and my skin is just over it, meaning it gets red when it is overloaded with those ingredients. Don't let the negative reviews sway you from trying this out!

The new formula of Nivea Soft is awful. I started using this product in France in the late 1990's; it finally came to the US in the early/mid 2000's and I was SO EXCITED. My favorite moisturizer finally made it to the US. The change is awful. Please re-release the old formula. PLEASE. We are begging you. The new update is terrible and NOT THE SAME. You've lost a lifetime customer with this change, and it's clear that you don't care. Nobody asked for this and you shoved it on us anyway. The reviews here plus posts all over the internet prove that many users don't like the change. It's such a shame that Nivea doesn't care.

Not happy with new Vegan formula
I've been using Nivea Soft on my face for years and absolutely loved it! I ran out a few weeks ago and bought a new tub and don't like it at all. My race feels tight after I put it on, as if it's not moisturized at all! It's even a bit irritated by it. It feels almost watery compared to the richness of the old formula. I'm going to see if I can find some of the old product but if I can't, I'll be looking for a new moisturizer. What not just give customers the option to choose between the two?
