Compatible with Steelie mounting products, the Steelie Orbiter Magnetic Socket includes the orbiter metal plate and orbiter magnetic socket. The Orbiter Magnetic Socket attaches to Steelie mounts using a powerful neodymium magnet and silicone center, while the slim, adhesive-backed metal plate lays flat against your phone. Includes: 1 Steelie Orbiter Magnetic Socket and 1 Metal Plate with 3M 300LSE adhesive. Each device can have its own metal plate to easily attach to either the Steelie Dash Mount, Vent Mount, Windshield Mount, Tabletop Stand, Wall Mount, or Magnetic Mount using the included Orbiter Magnetic Socket. Steelie neodymium magnets are safe for use with mobile devices but should be kept away from magnetically sensitive objects like credit cards, pacemakers or computer hard drives.

Outstanding improvement
I’ve used nite Ize for about 6years on the 1st. and 2nd. Phones I used it on I used the regular backing on my phone and it was OK except when I laid the phone down, it was always wobbly because of the magnet on the back of the phone when I got my new phone a few months ago I saw that there had been an improvement so I ordered the orbiter and placed it on the protective cover that I purchased when I bought my new phone now my phone doesn’t wobble it very well in my sports car where I use my phone for navigation and texting not while I’m driving. Best improvement They could’ve ever made. Highly recommended getting the orbiter. It doesn’t mess up the back of your phone or the Protective cover

Best mount ever
I’ve had this mount for over three years. I’m a truck driver and I could never find a amount that held my phone secure or that wouldn’t break. This hands-down is the best phone mount ever. It’s the only one I’ll buy.

Not satisfied with new product the older one actually stayed attached to the back of my phone vs being snatched off by the holder on my windshield

In the future, we would suggest sliding it off the Socket laterally. This will prevent the full force of removing the phone from pulling the Socket off with the phone. Orbiter Socket replaced with Freemount
The Orbiter Socket worked just fine, adhering to the hard phone case. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow the induction charger to charge the phone, which I wish I'd known. But Nite Ize very generously sent me a Steelie Freemount that lets me use the charger and also holds the phone securely.

Best thing for Phones in cars!
I bought the orbiter kit w/magnet. Wow! Excellent product. Well build, got some weight to it. I have had mine for 4+ years and have used one other phone holder. This is THE best one, I don't even look for other products. This is perfect. This is just one of those products you buy and go "Man, this thing is so simple, just awesome. I saw some mentions of the glue not holding out, try Krazy glue. That is great stuff and will not unglue.

The glue pads need to be replaced frequently in hotter weather or when using heat vents near the mount on the dash

When in extreme heat or cold, the adhesive will have a tough time staying adhered to your dashboard. Incredibly versatile!
This is a great product. It works wonderfully on my iPhone 12. The recent discovery we had was to attach the steel ring to my wife's phone, now we both can use the same mount in the car! My wife uses a credit card holder on her phone, the steel ring acts like a slim version of the magnetic mount, but also saves the magnetic strip on her credit cards. Win win!

Simply the best MagSafe compatible mount!!
Similar to other steelie products, this is another high quality product. So glad NiteIze decided to make such a simple/clever magsafe solution. No other magsafe products come even close. Also Orbiter plus with Vent kit works without any wobble or flex at all unlike other magsafe car mounts.
