My rating is not reflective of the quality of the roaster, since I haven’t used it yet. I’m rating it low because this listing was misleading. I had been looking into roasters to help with thanksgiving cooking capacity and settled on this one because of its more unique design from other nesco roasters I could find online. The differences may be subtle, but this one was advertised to be a bit more rectangular, and shallower but wider than the other 18L capacity nesco roasters that had a more oval shape that was deeper but narrower. When I compared images and description of this listing to other 18L capacity nesco roasters, I favored this one for its less “dome” shaped lid, slimmer handle, and different design on its temperature gauge. Again, these are subtle differences in the design, and the capacity (18L) and function of the roaster is the same as the other nesco roasters, so it shouldn’t be a big deal. However, this is being advertised as “on sale” at $145.81 (as of November 19, 2025), down from $161.19. The nesco 18L, red-colored roasters currently retail on the nesco site for $99 and at other retailers, such as fleet farm, for $79.99 (on sale currently for $69.99). I knew I was paying a premium by ordering from this seller on target’s app, but I believed I was getting a design that I preferred (less of a domed lid and shallower, wider dimensions). Ultimately, I paid a $50-$70 premium for this roaster that ended up being the exact same model that I could’ve bought elsewhere. I didn’t discover this until I already unboxed it, meaning I can’t return it, and target’s newer “price match” policy no longer applies toward other retailers so I can’t request a price match on the nesco or fleet farm listings. I attached the screenshot of the fleet farm’s 18L red electric roaster (on sale for $69.99) and the target listing that I bought this from to show the design differences.
