Naturepedic Organic Cotton Changing Pad 2-Sided

I just received the changing pad about 2 weeks ago. I like the design concept of this changing pad, but feel there were some errors when it was manufactured. Mine has a large air pocket under the waterproof outer layer which still has not gone away after weeks of having it out and trying to squeeze out the air. This causes a lot of crinkling sounds and I don't think it will contain any mess because the outer layer poofs up higher than the edges of the pad. I don't recall seeing any other customer complaints about this so I'm wondering if I received a defective product.

The changing pad is great as long as it stays dry around the bottom, but... my baby peed during a change, as babies often do, and the urine ran over the edge and got into the pad through the bottom seam. The urine spread within the inside of the pad over a couple days even after air-drying and the bottom is now permanently browned (mold?). This seems like a bad design oversight -- if the waterproofing isn't improved around the bottom seam, there should be zippers or something to allow you to access the inner core in situations like this. The seams on the top of the pad don't seem to have this problem. I'm disappointed as I had high hopes for this changing pad, and it wasn't cheap. I won't be recommending this changing pad to others.

It is hard to clean with no removable cover. And it feels crunchy. Don't like it at all and will be getting rid of it

I have no regrets on investing on this changing pad. Such high quality and seems very durable. I've been using with my toddler even though I mostly bought it to use with my new baby due soon and he loves laying on it and buckling himself. The cover makes it extra comfy for them.

I had this on my registry and have since recommended it to many others. This purchase was actually for my cousin. So comfortable for the baby. Supportive. Easy to clean. Easy to take on road trips for a portable changing area. Excellent quality.
