Description

Glucotein™ is a “resistant starch” flour blend of green banana and green peas, which has a benefit for metabolism and digestive processes*. This type of starch functions kind of like soluble fiber. It resists digestion in the stomach and small intestine—hence, the name. This resistance is important. Since resistant starch isn’t broken down into sugar in the small intestine, it doesn’t spike blood sugar levels. Instead, it’s broken down in the large intestine where it increases the production of good bacteria called “Butyrate” and creates beneficial molecules that promote a healthy gut.
