Good Coffee With a *hint* of Winter Charm
We are longtime fans of peppermint coffee around the holidays. We found this blend to be very good. While not overly pepperminty, the cofffee itself is a nice medium roast and full flavored. If you're looking for big peppermint taste this probably isn't the best option, but if you want the subtle hint of peppermint in good coffe this should hit the spot!

Great flavor, but ground too fine!
Love the flavor, but this ground too fine this year. This is one of my favorite coffees and it's my second year in a row purchasing many bags of it to drink for a few months straight, but this year every single pot overflows because the grounds won't let the water drain through sufficiently. It's still tasty, but it's so messy I'll be trying a 'test bag' next year before buying a ton of it. It'd be worth it to me to have coffee without loose grounds, even if I have to order a more expensive brand.

Pepperminty but not sickly sweet or mouthwashy
I saw at least one review that said this is just coffee with no flavor; it definitely isn’t, unless that reviewer got a defective bag. Maybe if you were expecting something as sweet as an actual piece of candy, or if you typically drink coffees with strong flavoring added to them, it would be much more subtle than you were expecting, but if you drink regular coffee, you can’t miss it. In our house we usually just drink plain coffee, either black or with some cream. If that’s what you’re used to, you should definitely taste the peppermint. You can smell it, too! It has a definite candy cane quality - not mouthwashy. I wonder if there is a little vanilla and/or non-nutritive sweetener (the tiniest touch, because it doesn’t come across as “sweetened” coffee) in there to balance the mint so it doesn’t taste like toothpaste. The bag just says “natural flavors.” Anyway, it’s good! It’s like a peppermint mocha but without the syrupy sweetness or the chocolate. Which I guess sounds like sort of a weird concept, but it works! It even leaves a little lingering mintiness in my mouth after sipping, which probably in reality does nothing, but does help me feel better about my coffee breath. Food science is wild. I don’t really understand how they make this stuff, but what a fun festive treat if you like coffee and candy canes but aren’t looking to have candy in the morning.

My sense of smell is fine. This coffee, that I just received from Target, does NOT smell OR taste like peppermint at all. It's just plain coffee. How disappointing, I really wanted peppermint-flavored coffee and would have never paid this much for plain coffee since I can get it for free via another source.

Coffee reviews are rarely helpful, as everyone has a differing opinion on what qualifies as a “good cup of coffee.” All I can say is that my husband and I both THOROUGHLY enjoy this coffee. It is the perfect balance of deep coffee flavor with just enough peppermint to taste genuine - no artificial taste whatsoever. We will miss it after the season ends!

Not a replacement for Archer Farms :(
SO BUMMED. I bought Archer Farms candy cane coffee every year and loved every single ground of it. Hoped that this would be the same coffee, just rebranded, but not at all. The peppermint flavor just doesn’t even exist. Wish I had made my last bag of Archer Farms last longer. Bring it back!!!

This is so sad. I buy this coffee every year with gusto. I was so excited to finally find it this year and was left totally disappointed. It tastes like regular coffee. Not even the faintest hint of mint. I am so bummed out by this and will have to find a peppermint coffee to replace this one.
