When using this product

Stop use and ask a doctor if

Stop use and ask a doctor if : cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition.

Directions

Take every 4 hours, or as directed by a doctor. Chew thoroughly before swallowing.

Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Over:

2 chewable tablets every 4 hours, not to exceed 12 chewable tablets in any 24-hour period.

Children 6 to Under 12 Years of Age:

1 chewable tablet every 4 hours, not to exceed 6 chewable tablets in any 24-hour period.

Children Under 6 Years of Age:

Do not use.

Other information

So gross

I tried giving these to my daughter and niece and after they each took a tiny bite they threw a big fit about how bad they tasted and they refused to even finish one gummy. I thought they were exaggerating, so when I got sick I decided to try them and they were right! These tasted like normal medicine just in a gummy form that you have to chew and taste for so much longer. I assumed they would have at least made them taste good! I might just throw these away as I don’t think anyone will want to suffer through chewing these, yuck!

Taste amazing

I don’t know why there are so many reviews about the taste and texture. I thought it was delicious…like candy and the texture was great too. My kid asked for more lol. Not sure if they changed the formula recently but taste wise these are really good.

Horrible taste!

The taste is awful!! Enough to make you think you'll be sick. I'm glad I tried it on me before using for my kids.

I bought these on 4/15/25 because my daughter has been coughing and she doesn't like liquid medicines. She chewed this and said it tasted horrible. I chewed some tonight 4/16/25 and wow.... she was not wrong... the taste is soo bad it's like your chewing the liquid in your mouth in solid gummy form. I am definitely not happy about this purchase.

Life saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mucinex Nighttime Children’s Mighty Chews in mixed berry flavor work great when my kid is dealing with a stubborn cough and congestion. They actually like the taste, which is a huge plus. It helps them sleep through the night without constant coughing, and I wake up with a much happier kid in the morning. Definitely recommend for bedtime relief!

Formula For Taste Needs Improvement

Horrible taste. It's possible that these may be somewhat effective, but they need to revamp the formula to improve taste somehow. I've had issues with coughing/ chest congestion as well. I tried one before attempting to give it to my child & wow. This has an extremely strong medicinal taste. Way better to just down a shot of cough medicine, because actually chewing and swallowing the gummy, I feel makes the taste longer a lot longer. No, thank you.

The chewable tablets were easy for my little one to take, and the mixed berry flavor was a hit—no complaints about the taste. Taste is Strong!

These chewable tablets are way too strong for a child. You can clearly taste all the medicines' main ingredient in it. The worst part.

they taste like gummy medicine. awful.

i wish these worked for my kid but she took one tiny bite and spit it out. i took a small bite and they're AWFUL. strong strong medicine taste, it's like chewing liquid medicine literally. zero flavor other than sharp medicine taste.

Taste worse

I paid more money for my daughter hates liquid mucinex. I expected better taste than the liquid one. It is worse!!!!! Liquid is better. Even for me ,it was disgusting. Don’t spend more money one this.

Flavor needs improvement

I bought these for my son who has a bad cough and slept bad because of it. I thought they would be great. He ate one and I didn’t know if he was going to cry or throw up from how bad the taste is. He said he never wants to eat them again. He’s taken a bunch of other gummie vitamins and meds but these are a no.

Did it's job

They helped reduce my child's coughing at night, which was a relief, but the taste wasn't very appealing, and my child was hesitant to take them. While they did the job, I wish the flavor were more kid-friendly. An okay product, but there’s room for improvement.

Bad taste
